‘Big Brother 17’ Schedule: The ‘BB17’ Cast Is In The House As Episodes, Live Feeds Begin

Big Brother 17 schedule information is finally leading to something. The BB17 schedule begins Wednesday night (June 24), with the first episode of the 2015 season. A report from fan site Big Brother Network on Tuesday (June 23) reminds fans that the live feeds will begin showing footage at 9 p.m. PT on Wednesday, as well. Julie Chen is back as the host, and will be revealing to viewers on the season premiere that this summer is going to be packed with surprises and twists.

As previously reported on the Inquisitr, there are 14 confirmed Big Brother 17 cast members, and two additional ones rumored to already be in the house with them. The season is going to be 100 days long, which would likely work better if there are, indeed, 16 people in the house competing for the $500,000 prize. CBS hasn’t confirmed anything about the two possible surprise names, but rumors have it that they are former contestants on The Amazing Race.

As for the official Big Brother 17 schedule, CBS has stated that the first week of episodes will air at 8 p.m. PT/ET before a slight shift in Week 2. The two-night season premiere is on June 24 and 25, with both episodes showing at 8 p.m. PT/ET. The time slot for the Sunday episodes (beginning June 28) will also be at 8 p.m. PT/ET for the full summer. Beginning on July 2, though, the Thursday episodes will fall back to 9 p.m. PT/ET. It is on those Thursday episodes where the “live” BB17 evictions takes place.

The first episode of Big Brother After Dark will air Thursday night following the end of the second episode of BB17 on the west coast. The three-hour episodes will be shown nightly on Pop, beginning at midnight each evening on both coasts. This is where viewers can tune in to see lightly edited footage of how the houseguests spend their evenings. It’s also a good place to watch as strategy gets discussed when it comes to competitions and evictions.

It has been a long wait for fans since the conclusion of Big Brother 16, and another exciting summer of the reality competition is about to begin. Julie Chen has hinted at some big things coming this time around, using both her show (The Talk) and promotional commercials to spread that news. The Big Brother 17 schedule officially gets under way on June 24 with that first episode on CBS, followed by the live feeds and Big Brother After Dark starting up on June 25.
