Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Bobby Brown & Whitney Houston’s Daughter Surrounded By Prayer, Not ‘Vegetable’ [Video]

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been unable to communicate with her family since January 31, when she was found face-down in a bathtub in the home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon. In a medically induced coma for weeks, along with life support mechanisms, Bobbi Kristina can now breathe on her own but still cannot respond to her father, Bobby Brown, and grandmother, Cissy Houston.

But prayer continues to surround the 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby, as relatives on both sides continue to hope that she can miraculously recover, an insider told People.

“Krissi is breathing but she cannot communicate,” revealed a Houston family insider. “I think [Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother] Cissy Houston said it best – that’s she’s in God’s hands.”

As rumors circulated that Bobbi Kristina’s family was planning on taking her home to die, sources denied that anyone wanted to end her life.

“The family and her father Bobby Brown are just taking things one day at a time. She’s just in God’s care and it’s whatever he decides.”

But publicized bickering among Whitney’s relatives and Bobby’s relatives have confused the truth about the 22-year-old’s situation. Posting on Facebook, Leolah Brown (Bobby’s sister) shared her anger at Pat Houston (wife of Whitney’s brother, Gary). Leolah claimed that Pat is obsessed with Bobbi Kristina’s fortune rather than her fate.

But those close to the family feel that they all want the young woman to survive.

“The heartbreak and pain we feel in seeing her that way is beyond words. No one is trying to pull the plug. No one is saying goodbye.”

The reality of Bobbi Kristina’s health remains in contention, reported Fox News. One insider described her as in a vegetative state.

“Bobby Brown should have let her go when the family all agreed back in February,” said one source. “She’s a vegetable.”

But Brown’s attorney, Christopher Brown, emphasized that the family has no intention of letting Bobbi Kristina die.

“Bobbi Kristina is not going home to die as numerous news affiliates and websites have reported,” stated the legal counsel.

As the Inquisitr reported, the responsibility for making medical decisions for Bobbi Kristina is shared between Bobby Brown and her aunt Pat Houston. That means that before she can be removed from the hospital, the two would have to agree that it is the right move.

And Bobbi Kristina, in Bobby Brown’s views, should remain on life support.

“I don’t think he’ll ever go there,” said a source. “If there’s a 2 percent chance, a 1 percent chance, a 0.1 percent chance, he will keep hope alive.”
