Laverne Cox put on quite the show at the Broadway Bares fundraising event in New York City on Saturday, June 20.

The Orange is the New Black star was one of the unannounced performers at the annual event, Broadway Bares: Top Bottoms of Burlesque, which raises funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Dancing to songs such as “Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and “She’s Got It,” the 31-year-old transgender actress impressed everyone with her sassy moves, and wasn’t afraid to bare it all, stripping down to pasties, a corset and a miniskirt, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Laverne later posted several photos of her performance, which took place in front of 150 of New York’s hottest Broadway performers, on Instagram for her 1.1 million followers. Among those Broadway stars in attendance were Harvey Fierstein and Tony Award winner Christopher Sieber.

“Wow the experience of a lifetime doing #BroadwayBares tonight,” she wrote. “Thank you everyone for your talent and support… Technicians, stage managers, our brilliant costumers. Love you all. What talent in this room. You’re all amazing… I had the time of my life doing this event.”

“Laverne Cox wowed thousands of spectators tonight at Broadway Bares 25 raising more than $1.5 million for the organization nearest to my heart, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS,” Javi Morgado said in a post on Facebook that accompanied a video of Cox’s performance.

This year’s event set a record, raising $1.5 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which helps people with AIDS and other chronic illnesses across the United States.

Laverne Cox, who is best known for her role as Sophia Burset on Orange is the New Black, has become an advocate for the transgender community, even offering her support to Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner.

“I don’t think I need to give her advice,” Cox told Today‘s Savannah Guthrie. “For me it’s always important to support other transgender people — to love and support each other. There’s enough spotlight; there are enough resources to go around. For me, it’s always about loving and supporting my trans siblings.”

Caitlynn later tweeted a “thank you” message to Cox.

“.@LaverneCox, you are fierce and fabulous! Your support means the world. Thank you for all that you do for the community. #TransIsBeautiful,” she wrote.
