Britney Spears, Charlie Ebersol Break Up: What Reportedly Led To The Split?
It seems that the buzz surrounding a possible Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol break up was on the mark this time around. Despite rumors of the two talking about marriage and babies, potentially, now it seems that Charlie and Britney have split. What’s the scoop?
There had been some fans wondering about a possible split, and Britney’s “Louisiana boys” photo posted on Instagram over the past weekend definitely had tongues wagging. Though there didn’t seem to be anything to the photo showing her next to a guy back in her home state, many thought the red flags were adding up.
Indeed, it now seems that Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol have broken up after about eight months of dating. Us Weekly confirms the split, noting that in the wake of the Charlie and Britney split, the pop princess has deleted all the photos of Ebersol from her Instagram page.
Spears and Ebersol first connected in October, 2014, and they were seen on the red carpet together, full of smiles, at the Billboard Music Awards just over a month ago. Despite the smiles they shared, and various reports indicating that they were happy and planning for the future, some fans saw signs of turmoil.
Some Blind Gossip items seemed to specifically point to a mismatch in the Britney and Charlie pairing, and some would say that it’s been repeatedly difficult for Spears to find a mate who can simply embrace her for who she is and not get caught up in the fame and money. Was that the case in this relationship as well, as some suspect? Others would say that dating Britney is surely a challenge in many ways, given her fame and the conservatorship situation. Of course, neither side is saying anything specific at this point, so fans can only speculate.
Prior to dating Ebersol, Spears was with David Lucado. Though the two dated for a while, a split rapidly came after stories broke that he had allegedly cheated on her. Prior to Lucado, Britney had been engaged to agent Jason Trawick. Spears was also previously married to Jason Alexander (for a matter of hours) and Kevin Federline, from 2004 to 2007.
While neither Spears or Ebersol have commented publicly on the split or what caused it, rumors are brewing. According to Radar Online, Britney had been pushing hard for marriage while Charlie simply didn’t feel ready. It has also been said that she has been anxious for another child. Sources also claim that Charlie was feeling trapped in the situation and he felt that with her conservatorship, it was a lot to take on long-term.
Whether the Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol break up came from her pressuring him regarding marriage and babies, or him being in the relationship more for fame and connections than love, fans may never know. Fans are still hopeful that the pop princess will find a lasting love, but it seems she’s back to the drawing board for now.
