High School Track Coach Arrested For Child Porn After Leaving iPad In Rental Car

A high school track coach at Mission Viejo, California’s Trabuco Hills High School was arrested on Friday after forgetting his iPad in a rental car. The iPad reportedly contained large amounts of child pornography.

Authorities with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office indicate that they were called after a car rental agency employee found an iPad inside a rental car, filled with pornographic images and videos of minors. The iPad allegedly belongs to Raymond Henry II, a track coach at Trabuco Hills. The iPad was left behind in a car he previously rented.

Among the pornographic images found on the iPad include naked photos of young girls, ranging in ages of 11 to around 13. Henry also works as a teacher’s aide inside classrooms at Trabuco High School.

Police also indicate that they found pictures of high school girls wearing the Trabuco Hills track and field uniforms. In turn, Henry was taken into without incident and now faces a felony charge of possession of child pornography.

His bond, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, is listed at $20,000. Henry is scheduled for a court appearance on Tuesday.

This isn’t the first time this year an educator from California has been arrested for child pornography. In February, Daniel Glenn, a teacher at Mark Twain Junior High School in Modesto, was arrested after an informant told authorities that a female student was sending inappropriate photos to her teacher.

After searching Glenn’s residence, authorities found evidence of child pornography. The female student’s parents were notified of the arrest shortly after. However, authorities stated that the evidence found was not of the female student in question.

Glenn, a former teacher at an elementary school before transferring to Mark Twain Junior High School, made no comments on the issue. The school’s superintendent, Craig Rydquist, however, indicated that the teacher was put on paid administrative leave, but didn’t have much more information into the matter.

“Since this is a criminal matter, which will be heard in court, we are not able to provide any more specific details.”

Glenn faces a felony charge of possessing sexually explicit images of children. If convicted, he may spend a year in prison and a $2,500 fine.

Students at any school are encouraged to tell their parents, as well as trusted authorities, if they notice a teacher or anyone else acting inappropriately.
