This decisive game will show whether Brazil can come back from losing superstar Neymar at the 2015 Copa America. The striker was expelled after the game against Colombia for shoving an opponent, and he was handed a four-match ban later on.

The ruling means Neymar is out of the rest of the competition, much to the dismay of his teammates who were hoping to redeem themselves in the eyes of fans after the disastrous ending to the 2014 World Cup. There, the Verde Amarela was humiliated against Germany 1-7 and lost their chances to win the title in front of La Torcida.

At the World Cup, Neymar was sidelined after Colombia defender Juan Camilo Zúñiga rammed him from behind, which resulted in a fractured vertebrae that needed surgery. Ever since then, Neymar has dreamed of returning to the pitch for Brazil in an international competition.

Fans who watch Brazil vs. Venezuela live stream free will see if Brazil can prevail against a surprisingly strong Venezuela without its main star and captain. Coach Dunga has seen his hopes crumble and knew Neymar would not be able to play the decisive Group C match, as he had already collected two yellow cards, however, now he must do without one of the best players in the world for the remainder of the tournament.

A statement from CONMEBOL — the ruling body at the 2015 Copa America — informed Brazil that Neymar was done.

“To the Brazil national team player Neymar da Silva, a suspension of four games (including the one-game automatic suspension already imposed) and a fine of US $10,000 as consequence of his sending off and related incidents at the end of the match against the Colombia national team on June 17.”

This is surely devastating news, and now Brazil must face a very confident Venezuela, who knows they have an even better chance in a tightly contested Group C. All teams are tied with three-points. Neymar’s absence is also a disappointment, not only to Brazilian fans, but to football fans all over the world, who were expecting to watch the striker in action.

However, Brazil defender Miranda is confident his teammates can rise to the occasion and move on to the knockout stage.

“We have a great squad and high-quality players who are capable of replacing Neymar,” Miranda stated at a press conference.
