Jessa Duggar And Jill Duggar Got Soaked At The ALIVE Music Festival, Jessa Still Wants To Adopt

Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar didn’t let the nonstop rain stop them from talking to their adoring fans at the ALIVE Christian Music Festival on Saturday.

According to E! News, Jessa Duggar and her older sister Jill were speakers at the event in Mineral City, Ohio. The 19 Kids and Counting stars’ husbands, Ben Seewald and Derick Dillard, also spoke at the music festival. Jessa shared a few Instagram posts about their trip to Ohio, and it’s pretty obvious that she was very excited about the prospect of getting away from Arkansas for a few days.

Unfortunately, the Duggars and their husbands found that the weather wasn’t so welcoming at ALIVE. According to the Times Reporter, it rained the entire 45 minutes that the couples were onstage. Baby Israel joined his parents while they gave their speeches, and a photo posted on the 19kidsandloving Tumblr page shows the little tyke behaving himself. He looks pretty tuckered out.

Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar were supposed to join their family members at the ALIVE Christian Music Festival, but they backed out after In Touch Weekly shared it’s bombshell discovery that Josh had sexually molested Jill, Jessa, and two other younger sisters when he was teen. Jill and Jessa Duggar didn’t mention the molestation scandal during their short speeches at ALIVE — instead they kept the focus on topics that they’re more comfortable talking about.

Jessa Duggar revealed that her favorite TV shows are Leave It to Beaver, The Andy Griffith Show, and Hogan’s Heroes. She also said that she enjoys being on 19 Kids and Counting because the TLC series allows her and her family to share their Christian faith with their fans, and she confirmed that she and Ben Seewald are still interested in adopting a child.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jessa and Ben Seewald have already contacted an adoption agency. During the 19 Kids and Counting tell-all special, they also revealed that they’re taking classes for prospective adoptive parents. It seems like the young couple is dead serious about opening up their home to a child in need of a loving family, but most adoption agencies have rules about how long couples have to be married before they can adopt. Jessa told the ALIVE crowd that she and Ben will likely have to wait at least one more year before they can expand their growing family. In the meantime, they can focus on their biological baby that’s due to arrive in November.

While the Seewalds and Dillards didn’t directly mention the Josh Duggar molestation scandal, Jill Duggar did admit that her family isn’t as perfect as it appears to be on 19 Kids and Counting.

“Hey we’re not a perfect family, we mess up,” Jill said, according to People. “Imagine what life is like with a family with two or three kids and multiply that about 10 times over and that’s what you get.”

During the ALIVE festival, Derick Dillard briefly referenced the news that he left his Walmart job. However, he didn’t reveal where he’s going to be working or whether it will require a move.

“I don’t know if we can outdo last year with a new job and a baby,” Derick said while talking about his small family’s big changes.

Do you think Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald will manage to adopt a baby before Jill Duggar can get pregnant with her second child?
