Jennifer Aniston On Her Go-To Retreat, Rumors, Chickens, And What’s For Breakfast
Jennifer Aniston is known for her flawless physique, her leading-lady abilities in films such as Cake, and her three-year engagement to Justin Theroux. What may have been a secret to most about this talented and adorable couple is the choice of pet they keep.
Jen and Justin admit to having two chickens as pets, one named Jen and the other named Justin. How fitting! Aniston shared the tale as to how and why the couple acquired the chickens when they were mere chicks with the Hamilton Spectator.
“We did get two baby chicks as a gift named Justin and Jen. I’ve lost track because they all look alike! We use the eggs every day. We make frittatas, carbonara. Justin makes great pasta. I use the eggs in my salad or for snacks. They taste delicious!”
The pets, therefore, have a dual purpose for the health-conscious pair. It is no secret that Aniston works hard to maintain her svelte frame. She is constantly asked as to what her fitness regimens and dietary choices are to keep her looking so buff and toned. Always willing to share, Jen recently divulged her breakfast routine, likely involving one or more of those eggs from her pet chicks, to Elle.
“I usually have warm water with lemon first thing in the morning if I can remember. Otherwise I’ll have a cup of coffee, feed the dogs, then a shake, eggs and a little avocado and a little coconut oil on Ezekiel whole wheat toast. Then I usually read the paper and hit the gym. I have the Smart Water bottle that’s 23 ounces. I make sure I get three or four in of those a day. It’s such a habit for me now. So many people are water lazy; it’s such an important thing.”
With the star’s wedding not far away, she is extra vigilant to be at her best for her walk down the aisle. Although rumors have been flying in regards to a possible split between the couple, the claims have been stamped out as falsehoods. The Inquisitr detailed this recently.
For now, the two are excited to finally be nearing their big day, and Jen can also breathe a sigh of relief knowing that her usual go-to getaway where she often vacations is open for business once more after Hurricane Odile did terrible damage last year. The Globe and Mail notes that the One and Only Palmilla retreat is located in the Baja Peninsula. Perhaps it’s set to be the location of Jen and Justin’s post-matrimonial honeymoon! Time will tell.
