Zayn Malik, 50 Cent Music Contract? Summer Meeting Planned

Is Zayn Malik about to get signed to a new record label? Is 50 Cent about to become the hero of thousands of Zayn Malik fans around the world? It appears that the conclusion to Zayn Malik’s post-One Direction career may come into existence within the next month.

For several months, 50 Cent has been teasing the media about how he wants to sign Zayn Malik and make music history — but is this the moment where the dream becomes reality?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, 50 Cent had the hots for Zayn Malik long before Zayn quit One Direction. In fact, some fans speculated that 50 Cent might have been the reason that Zayn Malik quit One Direction in the first place.

While it was never established if Zayn Malik quit One Direction due to anything that 50 Cent did or said — it looks like Zayn Malik is finally taking up 50 Cent on his offer.

Although they met at the iHeart Radio event in Las Vegas in September, 2014, it wasn’t until several months later that 50 Cent dropped the hint that he’d sign Zayn Malik.

In particular, Zayn Malik was propositioned by 50 Cent in an interview with The Sun U.K. in mid-March saying that he would love to work with Zayn Malik. At that time (about a week before Zayn Malik quit One Direction in late March), 50 Cent said the following.

“If Zayn Malik wants a rap career, just because of who he is, he is going to sell records…. But if he wants to be credible he has to be with the right people. I’d happily sign him up to my label, mentor him and have him working with the biggest rappers on the planet.”

But will 50 Cent and Zayn Malik ever get together? On June 21, the Mirror U.K. announced that talks were in progress and that 50 Cent allegedly told Zayn Malik that they should get together for “a business meeting in July to discuss a deal.”

Despite the fact that the Mirror U.K. does not list a source for their information, they state that 50 Cent said the following about Zayn Malik in the recent past.

“I want it to happen. I can make him a lot of money and he can make me a lot of money. The point I am making is he needs to be working with the right producers, artists, and people in the genre. Some of the pop star rappers are a little cringe, and he doesn’t want that.”

Unfortunately, Zayn Malik may need someone rich like 50 Cent to bail him out of his contract with One Direction. Vulture reports that, “According to a Facebook post from collaborator Mic Righteous, the former boy-bander’s label has forbidden him from officially releasing new music for two years.”

Will Zayn Malik need to pay a hefty sum of cash on his old contract to get into a new contract with 50 Cent? At the moment, no new information has emerged on this matter — and there is little evidence online about the fine print found in Zayn Malik’s contract.

If he is able to release new music with a new contract from 50 Cent, Zayn Malik fans should not be surprised if Zayn releases a new single the minute he is signed with 50 Cent. Evidently, Zayn Malik and 50 Cent have recorded music in the recent past.

Around March 17, about a week before Zayn Malik quit One Direction, 50 Cent told the following to The Sun U.K.

“We’re making music and having fun. This is just like a side gig and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. It’s a good time for Zayn to showcase what he can really do. I don’t think that is being fully exploited with the band because there are five people and it needs to be balanced out.”

Zayn Malik fans should be on the edge of their seats. Once Zayn Malik figures out what he can do about the alleged problems with his old One Direction contract (if any), fans will finally hear what Zayn Malik sounds like in his post-One Direction incarnation.
