Lindsay Arnold Married: ‘DWTS’ Pro Marries High School Sweetheart In Utah

Lindsay Arnold married Sam Cusick in a ceremony in her home city of Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, according to a report by People Magazine. The Dancing with the Stars pro met Cusick when she was 16-years-old, and the couple have dated ever since.

Cusick popped the big question during the couple’s trip to Africa back in December. Six months later, the couple is married and ready to start their lives together as man and wife.

Details of Arnold’s big day have surfaced on the internet. According to People Magazine, the couple married in a traditional Mormon ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. After the ceremony, the 150 wedding guests sat down for a formal dinner before the couple joined them for dessert.

What was on the menu?

Us Magazine reported that dinner guests “feasted on pepper steak flambé and chicken with a honey pecan butter sauce, with the bride and groom even noshing on In-N-Out Burger as their pre-wedding meal! At the wedding, planned by Danielle Rothweiler, everyone indulged their sweet tooth with a beautiful dessert by Steph’s Cake Creations, cheesecake bites, chocolate covered strawberries, lemon bars, and flourless chocolate cake with raspberry couilis.”

The bride wore a “chic vintage sleeveless dress by Moonlight Bridal” for her big day. Her wedding planner, Danielle Rothweiler of Rothweiler Event Design, shared that she used “a color scheme of pinks, cremes and golds to evoke a “romantic, vintage, chic” vibe for the celebration.”

The wedding party including several Dancing with the Stars pros. Witney Carson, Emma Slater, Brittany Cherry, and Brooklyn Fullmer, from So You Think You Can Dance, all joined Arnold for her special moment. Shirley Ballas, the mother of Mark Ballas, attended the ceremony.

After dinner, Lindsay was surprised by a choreographed performance by her younger sisters. Witney Carson, Arnold’s bestie, and Lindsay’s father spoke for the couple at the event.

Witney has been very outspoken when it comes to her happiness over Arnold’s wedding. According to E! News, Carson posted about her excitement on social media. Carson posted a new message on Instagram after the ceremony that said, “Can’t believe today’s the day! My heart is so full of love and happiness for my best friend @lindsarnold and her now HUSBAND @samcusick Let the celebration begin! #CusickWedding #alreadycrying.”

Arnold shared her own feelings about the special day with People Magazine.

“I’m so excited to dance through life with Sam. I could never have imagined that when I was 16 years old I would have met the man I would marry and who would be my partner – yesterday, today and tomorrow!”

Lindsay Arnold was first seen by dancing fans when she auditioned and appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Season 9. She joined Dancing with the Stars as one of their pros in 2013.

When she auditioned back during Season 9, Brandon Armstrong joined her on stage. He was too young to audition himself, but he returned this season for his own shot. His audition appeared on the June 15 episode that was filmed in Los Angeles, and he received a golden ticket, according to The Celebrity Cafe, which reported on the episode.

“I remember Brandon when he was Lindsay Arnold’s audition partner but was too young to compete. Now he’s back with Lindsay’s adorable sister to perform a wildly entertaining routine. With firecracker energy and springy, energetic moves, Brandon executed a really fun, memorable routine. I was glad, though, that Nigel mentioned the overuse of his ‘ballroom face.'”

According to a previous Inquisitr report, Arnold joined Dancing with the Stars for Season 16. During that season, she was partnered with Victor Ortiz. Fans have shared their excitement for Lindsay Arnold’s big day on social media.
