Cara Delevingne Opens Up About Her Sexuality, Declares Her Love For St. Vincent

Cara Delevingne is opening up about her sexuality amid reports that she’s dating Kendall Jenner and Miley Cyrus. The British model and Paper Towns star graced the cover of the July 2015 issue of Vogue magazine.

The 22-year-old is setting the record straight when it comes to her sexuality and relationship. Delevingne told the magazine that she has her heart set on one lady at the moment. She said that she’s in love with singer Annie Clarke, who goes by the stage name St. Vincent.

“I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”

Delevingne also revealed that she’s been confused and scared of her sexuality ever since she was a child. Although Delevingne doesn’t outwardly claim that she’s bisexual, she hinted that she’s attracted to both men and women.

“It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it, but I have erotic dreams only about men. I had one two nights ago where I went up to a guy in the back of a VW minivan, with a bunch of his friends around, and pretty much jumped him.”

Cara also revealed that most of her same-sex relationships have left her heart in shambles. Most of Cara’s heartbreak stems from her strained relationship with her mother, Pandora Delevingne. Her mother has struggled with addiction issues over the years and is currently writing a book about it.

“Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women, my mother first of all.”

She even opened up about her mother’s heroin addiction and how it impacted her childhood.

“It shapes the childhood of every kid whose parent has an addiction. You grow up too quickly because you’re parenting your parents. My mother’s an amazingly strong person with a huge heart, and I adore her. But it’s not something you get better from, I don’t think. I know there are people who have stopped and are fine now, but not in my circumstance. She’s still struggling.”

Even though she’s been “hurt by women,” Delevingne says that she’s still open to dating both men and women in the future.

“The thing is, if I ever found a guy I could fall in love with, I’d want to marry him and have his children and that scares me to death because I think I’m a whole bunch of crazy, and I always worry that a guy will walk away once he really, truly knows me.”

Cara’s revelation about her sexuality comes after the news that she’s been linked to Kendall Jenner. Several internet rumors and tabloids claimed that the two friends were reportedly dating each other. A recent report on Gossip Cop quashed the rumors and says that Cara and Kendall “are not dating or ‘getting cozy'” with one another. As Cara has said herself, she’s in love with musician St. Vincent.

As previously reported via the Inquisitr, the model also opened up about her struggles with depression. There where was a point in Delevingne’s life where she considered suicide but didn’t follow through.

“The worst thing was that I knew I was a lucky girl, and the fact that you would rather be dead… you just feel so guilty for those feelings.”

Cara Delevingne has reportedly been linked to Michelle Rodriguez, Jake Bugg, Harry Styles, and Rita Ora. Back in May, a report claimed that she was dating Miley Cyrus. The “Wrecking Ball” singer has recently come out to Paper Magazine about her own sexuality and her relationships with both men and women.
