Cops: Missouri Dad Tried To Get Daughter Raped And Beaten With Craigslist Ad

A Missouri dad is accused of planning an unthinkable crime… with his preteen daughter as the target. Latest reports that 32-year-old Anthony Brinkman has been charged with attempted statutory sodomy and may face charges later associated with trafficking a minor for sexual purposes. It’s also fortunate that this man was arrested since he was allegedly busted while transporting his intended victim.

The Huffington Post reports that Brinkman used Craigslist to find someone to beat up and rape his 11-year-old daughter while he watched for his own sexual gratification. The specific details of his Craigslist advert haven’t been publicized yet, but it has been widely reported that law enforcement agents were quick to respond to the ad, which ultimately led to the Missouri dad’s arrest.

It was made immediately clear that Brinkman was interested in more than simple fantasy, as taboo as those fantasies were. In fact,it didn’t take long after undercover detectives answered his ad that he had already arranged a meeting. To further show that he was determined to follow through with his fantasy, he brought his 11-year-old daughter with him.

Officers posed as a female who was interested in raping Brinkman’s 11-year-old daughter while he watched, and he quickly arranged with the “woman” to meet at a restaurant in south St. Louis, Missouri. Officers were shocked to see that he followed through with the plans, even bringing the child along to show his commitment to the plan. He was arrested immediately, and the child was fortunately taken out of this highly dangerous situation.

The Missouri dad admitted to posting the ad on Craigslist, and also told authorities that he may have child pornography in his possession. Reports haven’t indicated whether or not the child pornography was of his 11-year-old daughter, but authorities did reveal that he had shared photos of his daughter with them and posted them online. The nature of these photos has not been clarified.

Unfortunately, Anthony Brinkman is not the only person to use the internet to commit, or plan to commit, crimes against children. In 2011, a woman was busted for using a webcam to stream herself sexually abusing her young daughter for the entertainment of men and teenagers across the country and the world. More recently, shocking details out of Alabama reveal that an entire family advertised child sex parties on Craigslist, and used numerous child family members in their illegal activities.

No new updates have come up since the Missouri dad’s incident, which took place earlier this month. His charges can be upgraded, depending on what unfolds during this bizarre investigation.
