Pop Group Fifth Harmony Checks Into ‘Hotel Transylvania’ With New Song

When you first think of the sassy, “girl power” pop vocals of Fifth Harmony, monsters are probably the furthest thing from your mind. Word on the street, though, is that the ladies of Fifth Harmony will be lending their song “I’m in Love with a Monster” to the Hotel Transylvania 2 soundtrack. Lia Vollack, the president of worldwide music for Sony, told PRnewswire that Fifth Harmony lends just the feel and mood they’re looking for in the upcoming movie.

“There are few groups out there that can match the incredibly fun feel and animated vision that Genndy Tartakovsky [the movie’s director] is bringing to Hotel Transylvania 2, and Fifth Harmony knocked it out of the park. The song is exactly what we were hoping for.”

Pretty amazing compliments for the girl pop sensation, whose single “Worth It” from their album Reflections is also garnering them a lot of attention lately. “Worth It” has been slowly creeping up the charts, gaining two spots from last week to settle in at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fifth Harmony’s members — Ally Brooke Hernandez, Camilla Cabellos, Dinah Jane Hanson, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei — were first assembled on Simon Cowell’s musical reality TV show The X-Factor. It was this appearance that first helped them catapult towards fame.

The Latino Post got the goods about Hotel Transylvania 2, which will be executive produced by Adam Sandler (as the first movie was). Meanwhile, the ladies of Fifth Harmony are also busy preparing for their appropriately-named Summer Tour with Shawn Mendes and Girl Meets World star Sabrina Carpenter. Unfortunately for them, the girl group has also attracted some unwanted attention in the form of nasty rumors, but they’re doing a great job of shaking them off and moving forward.

Hotel Transylvania 2 doesn’t come out in theaters until September 25, 2015, but you can hear the song “I’m in Love with a Monster” now by checking out any of the YouTube trailers available for the movie.

Just in case they weren’t busy enough, the ladies of Fifth Harmony will also be making their first-ever late night show appearance tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel Live, which airs at 11:35 p.m. Eastern on ABC. The girls will be accompanied by rapper Kid Ink, with whom they collaborated for their hit single “Worth It.”
