Kelly Ripa Celebrates Birthday Of Lookalike Daughter: Proud Mom Shares Cute Photo

Kelly Ripa’s lookalike daughter, Lola, celebrated her 14th birthday this week, and her mother took a moment to mark the moment and show off her teen daughter off on social media, according to E! Online. She is just as beautiful as her 44-year-old mother, who hosts Live with Kelly and Michael on ABC on weekday mornings.

Lola Grace is not the only child of Kelly’s that celebrated a birthday this month either. Ripa’s son, Michael, turned 18 at the start of the month, and the host actually took a moment during her morning broadcast to wish her son a happy birthday, according to ABC News. She said the following during the show, “Happy birthday to my very favorite first-born child. The boy is a grown man, and he’s my oldest and in a lot of ways, he’s my youngest because I babied him.”

Kelly has shared stories about her children and spoken candidly about her parenting style in interviews. Both Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are strict parents. They do not believe you become your child’s best friend. After she spoke about her parenting style on the Wendy Williams Show, she caused some controversy. She had to speak out and defend herself, according to Redbook Magazine.

“I feel like children need boundaries. They need to know, yes, you can come to me with anything and everything and I’m there for you but I’m not there to encourage you to get involved in social media stuff. I’m not there to encourage you to conduct yourself in a way that’s unbecoming of a child, because I’m your parent, and we have boundaries. If you don’t set limits and boundaries for your kids early on, and that means not giving into every temper tantrum, then later on, once they’re teens it’s too late.”

Ripa also revealed the one thing that keeps her sane as a parent to the magazine. She has a calendar hanging up on the wall that lists everyone’s activities. She has not embraced technology for this yet, and it is doubtful she will. She said the visual aid helps keep mistakes from being made.

Mark Consuelos is just as strict. According to Fashion & Style, he revealed some of his parenting strategy in an article for Men’s Health, and he agrees with his wife’s parenting ideas.

“These days, my dad and I are good friends. We talk all the time and have great conversations. I can’t afford to be like that with my kids at this point. Being friends with my kids just isn’t in the cards. I have to be like my dad was with me. My son might not want to go to one of his soccer games, and he’ll beg me to let him stay home. No way! When I would try to skip a soccer game as a kid, my dad would say, ‘You made the commitment, you’re going.'”

Her daughter, Lola, agrees that she has strict parents. Ripa did an interview David Letterman in April, and she did an impression of her teen daughter.

“You don’t understand. My math teacher is just like so hard on me. I got a 90 percent, which is like a 100 percent. I don’t even understand why I can’t have a teeny bikini because all my friends have one. And you and Dad are just, like, you’re just like such strict parents! I don’t even understand why I can’t have any privacy in the world.”

Kelly Ripa has been making news a lot recently. Her comments during one broadcast earlier this month had everyone thinking she was ready for baby number four with her husband. According to a previous Inquisitr report, she revealed that she was headed to Montreal with her husband, and she always ended up pregnant because of their visits to the city in the past.

However, she quickly squashed the pregnancy rumors when she decided to show off her pink hair. She showed off the new hair on Instagram because her husband was already back in California after their trip. The mother of three is not pregnant with number four because hair dyes can be harmful to a fetus if used in the first few months of pregnancy.

According to People Stylewatch, Ripa spoke about the hair color change on her show after she did it.

“Every time I go on vacation I dye my hair a different color. It usually washes out and this will wash out. It’s part of my tradition — I like to have fun for a few weeks. I literally sat there with pink hair dye, multiple shades of pink on my hair for hours. I get very bored. I’ve had the same color for six months at least, and that’s a long time for me. I think I might go red next. When we first put it on it looked really red and I was like, ‘I like it!’ I tried a red wig once and I was drunk with power.”

The pink was a hit with her husband, she revealed. He told her to keep going. It is clear that Ripa is enjoying her life right now. The bubbly host of Live with Kelly and Michael is popular with viewers. People have nothing but positive things to say about her on social media.
