Lindsay Lohan Shares Cryotherapy Photos On Instagram: LiLo Shows Off New Icy Beauty Craze

Lindsay Lohan’s latest cryotherapy photos have people talking about the actress and the latest celebrity health and beauty trend. Lohan shared photos of her latest treatment on her Instagram account on Monday, according to E! News. The photos earned some attention right away because they featured the longtime troubled actress in a one-piece swimsuit.

This is not the first time Lindsay Lohan has undergone cryotherapy. She shared photos of a past treatment in April, and she shared videos of another treatment in May, according to People Magazine. Lohan is not the only celebrity that swears by and has jumped into the cold for this new treatment. Derek Hough, Demi Moore, and Jessica Alba have all participated in this treatment.

How does cryotherapy work?

Haute Living shared a detailed explanation of the treatment and its benefits from experts at CRYO Health. A video of Lohan’s own treatment shows the process in action.

“Patients enter a cryo-chamber wearing next to nothing and are rotated for three minutes in temperatures of -140 degrees. The dual benefits provided by cryotherapy are the acceleration of metabolism for weight loss purposes and the relief of aches and pains, due to the anti-inflammatory results of the treatments. Cryotherapy is considered by many athletes to be far more effective than ice baths that have traditionally been used to speed up healing and ease pain during sports therapy. It also heals muscles much more quickly after a workout, meaning that each workout is more effective.”

Lohan has put a spotlight on this new treatment, and it is now receiving even more attention because of these new photos. She received these treatments at the Zimmer Ice Lab in Germany. The clinic’s website states even more about this latest trend in health and beauty treatments.

“Using cold to fight inflammation is a well-known treatment, whether it is an icepack for analgesia and to decrease swelling or an antipyretic cold wrap. Extensive clinical studies…have proven that cold therapy presents an essential gain as an important building block in a combined therapy for the treatment of rheumatic disorders. Whole body cryotherapy is also more and more apply in sport activities for its recovering and therapeutic positive effects.”

In the photos, it does appear that Lohan is enjoying her treatment. She captioned one of her photos by saying, “Crying laughing omg #ZimmerIceLab @brittanymbyrd #virgin2cryotherapy hahahaha.” According to the Irish Mirror, Lohan revealed that she took the treatments daily while she was in New York City to finish her community service.

Lindsay Lohan might be getting her life on track. In recent months, the actress finished her time in court after eight long years. She wrapped up her probation, and she was freed from court supervision, according to People Magazine.

The actress was not in court for the big moment, but her attorney received praise for her work with Lohan. The actress waited until the last minute to finish her 125 hours of community service. Her attorneys had told Judge Mark Young that Lohan had only completed 10 hours of that sentence with 16 days left to go. She went to work, and she finished it all in time.

Lohan shared a statement with the news outlet.

“I am very grateful to those at Brooklyn Community Services, Duffield and The Ali Forney Center for welcoming me into their services and allowing me to finish my court ordered Community Service hours. Shawn [Holley] and everyone involved for having faith in me and supporting me in getting the job done.”

On her Instagram, the star admitted she was ready for a “fresh start.” What does that mean for Lohan?

She is ready to settle down and start a family. She even admits that she enjoys taking care of people. That was a big part of her past issues, according to the New Zealand Herald.

“I want kids. I want to settle down with someone. I feel good, I feel content with life. A lot of it was distancing myself from the ones I love most, so I didn’t feel like I had to take care of everyone – I have a tendency to be a caretaker, and I needed people to just take care of me.”

Her mother, Dina Lohan, has even spoken out about how Lindsay is doing. She told Radar Online that her daughter “is happier than ever.” The news outlet did share photos of Lohan out celebrating the end of her probation with a glass of wine. That could be a concern.

What is next for Lohan? According to Fox News, the star will show off her musical talents on the next Duran Duran album. Paper Gods is set for release in September, and Lohan teased her work with the band by sharing a selfie featuring Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes on her Instagram in December.
