Thanks to Sam Smith’s Advice Jess Glynne Won’t Be Able To Speak For Sometime

Sam Smith has had a wonderful music career thanks to his wonderful vocals and outgoing personality. However, Sam Smith’s large number of international performances took their toll on his vocal cords. And at the beginning of May, Sam Smith took a hiatus from his normal schedule to undergo surgery after suffering from a hemorrhage in his vocal cords. This kept Sam Smith out of action for some time.

Sam Smith posted the following on Instagram at the time.

“I am very upset to announce I have been battling to get my vocal cords better the last 10 days, but unfortunately they haven’t recovered and I am going to need surgery. I’m so gutted to be missing all the shows and events I was meant to be playing at. The doctors say I will be back in 6-8 weeks and I cannot wait to sing for you all soon.”

However, Sam Smith surprised his fans at the Billboard Music Awards in May 17 by making an appearance via satellite. He offered a “thank you” to his fans after he won the Top New Artist award. An elated Sam Smith wrote the following.

“Thank you to my amazing fans. It’s times like this that I realize how lucky I am to have you in my life.”

Ever upbeat, Smith then proceeded to offer cheeky greetings to some of his celebrity friends in attendance through a bunch of cue cards. The following were the messages on the cards.

Taylor – Put a 100 on Black for me.

Nicki Minaj – Oh… My… God…Look at her bum!

And when it came to Ed Sheeran’s turn.

And Ed, I’ve organized a special dance for you at Chippendales.

This is according to E Online.

Finally well again, Sam Smith has inspired Jess Glynne to also undergo the procedure. Forced to skip the Isle of Wight Festival due to vocal problems, she apparently asked Sam Smith for advice on the issue and according to Digital Spy, he offered his assistance.

“He put me in touch with Dr Zeitels who I met with last week. I won’t be able to talk for three weeks, but I will be back singing in August and in plenty of time for both my big UK tour and my first ever American tour, both of which I’m massively excited about.”

As such, she won’t be singing for some time, thanks to Sam Smith’s advice.
