Fans of Subcontinent cricket will want to watch live online as Sri Lanka hosts Pakistan for an extensive tour beginning this week, with the first of three Test Matches between the rival nations who have played each other 389 times in Test cricket since 1952 — a series that is close to even, with Pakistan winning 122 to Sri Lanka's 110, along with 157 matches drawn.
The three-Test series will also capture the attention of the cricket world due to widespread speculation that this series could mark the last, or next-to-last, time that Sri Lanka will see its greatest player, Kumar Sangakkara, pull on the white sweater.
To find out how to watch Day One of the First Pakistan vs. Sri Lanka Test Match live online, see the information at the bottom of this article. The Test Match is scheduled to open at Galle International Stadium in Galle, Sri Lanka, at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday, June 17.
For United States viewers, that's 12:30 a.m on Wednesday, Eastern Time — 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Pacific time zone.
The three Tests will be followed a five-ODI series plus a pair of T20 matches, with the tour wrapping up on August 1.
The 37-year-old Sangakkara comes into the latest Test Match against Pakistan with a record 12,203 Test runs and 38 centuries in his incredible career. The closest to him in those departments is England Test Captain Alastair Cook, more than 3,000 runs and 11 centuries behind the extraordinary "Sanga."
The living legend has already retired from One Day and T20 cricket — but he has not yet said when he plans to hang up his Test whites. The prevailing speculation is that Sanga will take part in two of the three Test matches against Pakistan, then take his final bow in one more Test when India — the arch-rival of both Pakistan and Sri Lanka — visits the country in August.
