Marijuana Plantation With New Type Of Weed Discovered In U.K Natural Forest, ‘Weed Discovery’ Hoax Goes Viral

There’s reportedly a new discovery that avid marijuana supporters will be elated to hear about. Apparently, a new species of marijuana has been found in the United Kingdom. Although there were previously three types of marijuana – Sativa, Indica / Afghanica, and Ruderalis – there’s reportedly a fourth type of marijuana that has been identified. However, there’s a catch with the report about the latest “discovery.”

According to Not Allowed To, a satirical site, Adam Klen, 34, and his girlfriend, Jasica Miller, were enjoying a nature walk through National Forest on the morning of Saturday, May 30. The scenery was as most would expect for a nature walk, but a distinctive scent is what caught their attention. As they continued to walk, they noticed something they definitely didn’t expect to see — marijuana. However, it wasn’t the typical marijuana because it was reportedly different from what most marijuana lovers are accustomed to in the United States.

During a recent interview, the couple recalled their nature walk and shared their reaction to the seemingly amazing discovery.

“We like nature and we went to Forest to have a walk and have a look at birds and identify them. We were just walking and walking and then I smelled marijuana, I thought there might be a person nearby smoking marijuana; I looked around but could not see anyone. Then my girlfriend said we should follow the scent just for fun, and we were surprised to find marijuana plantation. We had no idea that we would end up discovering a new species of marijuana. I just thought this is one of the illegal marijuana farm in forest and should call the cops.”

National Forest officials were contacted and reportedly removed approximately “26 mature plants,” with one plant being distinctively different. Officials with the environmental project released a statement about the latest find.

“When we first received the plant we were very skeptical about its relation to cannabis. It has somewhat similar growth structure but the leaves look nothing like cannabis leaves.

“The levels of THC — the psychoactive chemical that makes people high — in this new specie are above 42.2 percent. That was higher than expected and by any other marijuana specie – said researcher Dainel Pool in an interview with Discovery News. (sic)”

Although the astonishing discovery has caught the attention of many social media users who have shared their reactions to the news about the new marijuana, people shouldn’t get too excited just yet.

The latest discovery is only a hoax. Not Allowed To is a satirical site known for publishing comical, outlandish reports. However, the vast majority of the reports are not based on factual information. Most of the hoax stories are off-the-wall reports that may be similar to real reports, but in most cases, the details are not true. The latest viral hoax may have derived from the recent U.K. debate about the legalization of marijuana. On May 27, it was reported that the first “cannabis pharmacy and cannabis-themed, popup restaurant” opened its doors in London.

But, nevertheless, the latest report about the discovery of a new type of marijuana is only a hoax.
