Kim Kardashian Appears On NPR, Discusses Pregnancy, Promotes New Book, And Is Quizzed On Kim Jong-un
Kim Kardashian surprised us this Saturday by appearing on NPR‘s game show Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, where she discussed her current pregnancy and promoted her book of selfies. Oh, and she was quizzed on Kim Jong-un (yes).
The host, Peter Sagal, asked her about her pregnancy and the speculation surrounding the child’s gender.
“We actually haven’t told anyone the sex. So I heard that we’re having a boy. I heard that we’re having twins. I heard that I’m not even carrying my own baby. I’ve heard so many things and most of that information is not true.”
Kardashian is not pleased with suggestions to name her upcoming child South (she already has a daughter named North), calling the idea “stupid.”
“I don’t like South West, though, because that’s like — you know, North will always, you know, be better… I don’t think we’ll go with another direction… Everyone keeps on saying South, and I think it’s so stupid. The stupidest thing ever.”
Sagal then asked her about her book, Selfish, which contains over 400 pages of Kardashian’s selfies.
“In the beginning — no towards the middle — there’s a lot of duck face going on.In recent years, I’m like too cool for duck face, so that doesn’t happen. But, you know, I get it, its a bunch of selfies, its silly, but its all my memories. And I’ve been taking photos, not only of myself, but just my environment and where I’m at, and my friends. I thought it was just, you know, selfies are such a really popular thing right now and I thought it’d be really cool to put them all in a book.”
When asked who had taken the most photos of her, she unflinchingly answered, “Me.” Kardashian was then asked if her daughter, North, had been caught trying to take a selfie.
“Well, I had Khloe babysitting her maybe a couple weeks ago over the weekend one day. And she sent me a photo of themselves, and Khloe and North were doing duck lips. I was like, oh no, come on.”
The moment of truth came when Kardashian was quizzed on Kim Jong-un, in a three question multiple choice game the hosts named “Keeping Up with Kim Jon-Kardashian.” To win a prize for a listener she’d have to get two out of three right.
Kardashian failed to guess the first answer correctly. But with some help she got the second question, about one of Kim Jong-un’s titles being “Hot Bosom of Love,” right. She then succeeded in selecting the correct answer for the final question, which was about North Korean boys being commanded to have the same haircut as their dictator.
Some lucky listener won an award thanks to Kardashian. Good job, Kim.
