Anne Weinstein, Wife of ‘Pulp Fiction’ Producer Bob Weinstein, Files For Divorce

The New York Daily News is reporting that Anne Weinstein, the wife of movie producer Bob Weinstein, has filed for divorce.

According to the Manhattan Supreme Court filings, Mrs. Weinstein is additionally seeking an order of protection to keep herself safe from “bodily harm.”

A spokesman for Bob Weinstein, 57, says that there is no abuse and that wife was instead reacting to a family intervention to get her to deal with a drinking problem.

“Any claim of abuse is irresponsible and frivolous,” the spokesman said.

The NY Post writes that the intervention was led by Don Sloane, a longtime certified interventionist, and was attended by Anne’s sister and her husband, Bob’s daughter Sara and other health professionals.

“Bob’s only hope is that his wife will get the treatment she needs for the sake of their children and herself,” the spokesman added.

Anne Weinsteins’ lawyers, Bonnie Rabin and Harriet Cohen, blasted Bob’s account, saying:

“This is a reckless and irresponsible statement which is wholly false. It is from Bob Weinstein’s paid agent who does not know our client at all. After today’s court appearance, she is now safe with her children.”

Bob — best known for some of the biggest and most influential movies of the last two decades, including “Pulp Fiction” and “Shakespeare in Love” — and Anne, a book editor, married in 2000 and have two children. Bob also has two daughters from a previous marriage.

According to the NY Daily, the discontent pair started dating when the then-Annie Clayton was a receptionist at the Weinstein brothers’ old film company, Miramax. She reportedly then left the company because of the relationship and took a job at HarperCollins as an assistant editor.
