Emma Roberts, Evan Peters Engaged No More: ‘Horror’ Stars Split After Domestic Violence, Fight, Engagement Ring Rumors

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are no longer dating. Instead, the couple famed for co-starring in American Horror Story broke up their engaged status, reported People.

“They grew apart,” revealed an insider. “They both had a lot of growing to do and it was better that they do it on their own.”

Now 24, Roberts met Peters, now 28, and dated after they co-starred in Adult World.

Evan emphasized in 2014 that he and Emma loved being together on and off the set of American Horror Story, which was filmed in New Orleans.

“It’s really amazing,” said Peters at the time. “You’re at set and you’re in a city that you don’t really know that well. It’s nice to have your best friend there to go to dinner with and check out the city.”

But in 2013, Emma’s arrest linked to domestic violence in Canada first indicated that the couple had problems. However, their spokespeople attempted to smooth over the arrest and reports of a fight.

“It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”

Actors Evan Peters and Emma Roberts have ended their engagement.

As for their future, Emma is set to yell for Scream Queens on Fox, while Evan is immersed in X-Men: Apocalypse before Season 5 of American Horror Story: Hotel.

Rumors that Emma and Peters were having problems began when Roberts was seen without the engagement ring, reported the Daily Mail.

However, at the time insiders insisted that the duo were still together.

“Emma and Evan are still together and happier than ever!” said one source.

Set to premiere this fall, Scream Queens will star both Emma Roberts and Lea Michele, the Inquisitr reported.

The 15-episode horror comedy from Glee creator Ryan Murphy will take place on a college campus experiencing a mysterious series of scary murders. Emma provided a sneak peek.

“The show itself is more comedy. I literally was crying laughing when Ryan (Murphy) was telling me about it, and telling me some jokes on it.”

And the actress offered her own predictions.

“It [is] going to be a lot of girls, and it reminds me of Coven in a way that it is just like having all that female energy on set,” Emma declared.

The reference to Coven refers to her role as the witch Madison Montgomery in American Horror Story: Coven, which was the third season of that series.

Roberts also praised Ryan Murphy for his previous creations and talent.

“I pretty much will follow Ryan Murphy anywhere, because I just love the worlds he creates. When he told me about this, I was like, ‘When do we start?'”

Also joining Emma on the Fox show will be Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, and Keke Palmer.

Fox Television Groups CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman revealed that Fox pleaded with Ryan Murphy to continue creating shows for the network. Scream Queens is the result of their begging.
