Ariana Grande And Selena Gomez Have More In Common Than You Think

Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez are fighting the same battles these days. Both of pop’s biggest superstars have been faced with grueling questions and tabloid rumors about their past and current relationships. Both Ariana and Selena have also dealt with a large number of body shamers. It seems like it’s an endless cycle when you’re a pop diva.

Ariana Grande, 21, hit back at body shamers on social media. The “One Last Time” singer hasn’t been afraid of letting the world know what’s on her mind. Grande doesn’t even care if you call her a “b**tch.” Okay, maybe a little.

The petite pop star was slammed by body shamers during the wee hours of Friday morning, as reported via the Mirror. Ariana shared an adorable photo of herself in a black crop top and denim cutoffs. Seemingly innocent enough, right? Not to some of Ariana’s haters!

It seems like the powerhouse singer had enough of trolls who body shame her on the social media app. Grande had enough of people who claim that the singer is too skinny. Grande included the following message: “ok i need to go to sleep/stop posting last week’s snapchat pics sideways/upside down.” There was more in Grande’s important Instagram message.

“p.s. if you’re a misogynistic body-shamer, please unfollow! Other people’s bodies are not yours to objectify/judge, even when photos are posted on a social media platform.

The little diva also shared her new Snapchat name with her fans.

“i like my lil body! thank you! #imagrownwoman #notchangingathing #thankyounext (my snapchat is moonlightbae, for those asking).”

This comes after the news when Ariana took to Twitter to slam the media and the people who judge her for her relationships. In a lengthy message, the singer wrote, “I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as man’s past, present or future PROPERTY/POSSESSION. I…do not belong to anyone but myself, and neither do you.”

In her message, the singer also quoted Gloria Steinem.

So where does Selena Gomez fit in? She took to Twitter to share her support for Grande’s feminist rant. Gomez wrote, “Thank you @ArianaGrande for telling them you don’t belong to nobody but you. Finally. Preach girl.”

Sounds familiar? Selena Gomez slammed the media for their obsession about her alleged drug abuse and relationship with Justin Bieber. In her Instagram message, Selena told her fans that she had “so many secrets” that she wants to reveal through her music.

“Sometimes I get frustrated when I hear lies about who I am. The Internet is meant to keep you ‘updated’ but it just takes old news and freezes it like it’s now. You have watched me in pain and I’ve owned up to it through my music and actions. I grew up with you. I am beyond excited to show you the next chapter, the TRUTH. I’ve been keeping so many secrets…I’m reborn in every moment so who knows what I’ll become…As long as I’m happy with me.”

Gomez’s photo also included the message, “I want to claim my own name.” She’s no longer Bieber’s girl!

Like Ariana, Selena has dealt with her share of body shaming on Instagram. She shared a photo of herself that featured her in a sexy black one-piece bathing suit as she soaked up the sun. Selena used the picture to defend her new curves. She included the following message: “I love being happy with me yall #theresmoretolove.”
