DeAndre Brackensick Eliminated From ‘American Idol’ [Video]

“American Idol” said goodbye to DeAndre Brackensick last night, bringing the number of contestants down to seven.

Brackensick’s falsetto was praised by all three “American Idol” judges, but fans apparently weren’t impressed. Brackensick was voted down into the bottom three with Elise Testone and Hollie Cavanagh. Lopez said that she tried to keep Brackensick on the show but Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler decided to send him home.

Lopez said:

“This boy right here, we’ve been watching him for two years. (Brackensick is) an amazing performer (with an) amazing voice….”I only get one vote and we’re not going to save you tonight.”

Brackensick didn’t seem to heartbroken about his elimination. The singer said that he agreed with the judges choice but insisted that he was going to keep singing.

Brackensick said:

“So I wasn’t ready for America right now. Maybe in a couple months, maybe tomorrow you never know… I agree with them 100 percent, and I agree with the judges and Jimmy and what happened. You know, I wish I was still going forward but I am grateful I got to this point.”

With DeAndre eliminated, Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, Colton Dixon, Jessica Sanchez, Sklyar Laine, Testone and Cavanaugh will now fight to become the next “American Idol.”
