Nick Jonas Split? Beauty Queen Girlfriend Olivia Culpo Splits As Nick Proudly Headlines Gay Pride Event [Video]

Nick Jonas split? Hopeful hearts healed among Nick’s fans as rumors flourished that Jonas and Olivia Culpo had consciously uncoupled, reported the Daily Mail.

The rumors began when the beauty queen and the singer stopped appearing together in public. Instead, Olivia and Nick have shown up in different areas of New York. Jonas’ 23-year-old girlfriend was a maid in Manhattan while 22-year-old Nick looked splintered in the Big Apple’s West Village.

Culpo went solo to the Vanity Fair and Guess Summer Kick-Off Soiree. The couple have not appeared in public since the Billboard Music Awards on May 17.

In addition to spending the daytime hours separated, they’re split at night. Jonas made a reservation for himself at one hotel while Culpo, who reigned as Miss USA in 2012, stayed in a separate hotel.

While their representatives had no comment on whether Nick has split from Olivia, it is known that Jonas’ motivation to go to New York was totally business-related. He’s on a promotion tour for a new film called Goat as well as promoting his tour.

Also on Nick’s future agenda: Taking over for Iggy Azalea at a gay pride concert in Pittsburg. That arrangement comes after Iggy was criticized for making racist and anti-gay comments on social media, reported ABC News.

Called Pride in the Street, the event will be held on Saturday. Nick spoke up about his new role at the concert. He also portrays a gay boxer on DirecTV’s Kingdom.

“Having grown up in the theater and having made a lot of friends that were gay at an early age, it’s really, I think, great exposure to that community and the importance… as a heterosexual male speaking up and doing all I can to be of support,” stated Nick.

As for Iggy, who was pressured along with event organizer Delta Foundation, her defense focused on her belief that what she said doesn’t actually reflect how she feels about equal rights for all.

Jonas spent part of the spring preparing to take on the role of Master of Ceremonies for Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, as the Inquisitr reported.

Other celebrities who have hosted the Kids’ Choice Awards are Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Josh Duhamel, and Will Smith.

Jonas earned two Kids’ Choice Award nominations previously, and his single, “Chains,” is earning rave reviews.

He also headlined the 2015 annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Party.

“I will be making my first appearance in Australia at Mardi Gras,” revealed Jonas. “I am so excited to perform, I know Mardi Gras is an amazing night and whole thing and I am just thrilled.”

But Nick has some unique views about life as a sex symbol, which perhaps is one reason Jonas has not discussed the potential of a split from beauty queen Olivia Culpo.

“I think if you acknowledge it, it makes it un-sexy,” said Jonas.
