‘American Horror Story’: Evan Peters Wants A ‘Totally Scandalous’ Role For Season 5

Not much is known about the next season of American Horror Story, and it will most likely stay that way for a while. As fans of the series know, creator Ryan Murphy likes to keep things under wraps, even for those who are appearing in the show.

Evan Peters, who has been with American Horror Story since it began in 2011, is scheduled to appear in the new season, which is being called Hotel. At this point, he is not sure which character he will play. But Peters told the Hollywood Reporter exactly which kind of role he would like to have.

“Something totally scandalous. I like the real f—ed up stuff.”

Peters is looking to get an Emmy nomination in the lead actor category for his performance as Jimmy Darling in American Horror Story: Freak Show. As he explains, there’s a reason why Jimmy can’t possibly be considered a supporting character in the series.

“He was kind of the leader in the freak show — and it was a really hard role. There was a lot of emotion involved, a lot of physical stuff.”

Each season of American Horror Story has featured different stories and different characters, but a lot of actors, including Peters, have played multiple roles on the series since it began. Peters says he likes the process of playing somebody different each time.

“That’s a huge draw because you don’t get pigeonholed. I’ve had the opportunity to play four different characters so far, which is just unheard of.”

Murphy has been slowly leaking clues about the new season of American Horror Story via his Twitter page.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, while not much is known about American Horror Story: Hotel, there have been some theories on the characters some of the actors may play. Some fans believe that Bassett will play jazz singer Lolita Jones, and there’s a good chance that Peters’ character could be evil since Murphy said he’s “waiting for you in Room 64.”

It’s likely that more information will be unveiled at this year’s Comic-Con. According to Entertainment Weekly, American Horror Story: Hotel is just one of the shows FX is bringing to this year’s convention. Peters, Bassett, and Murphy will be at the panel, as will Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, and Matt Bomer.
