Brandi Cyrus turned the CMT Awards into a red carpet event along with other fashionistas. From Brandi’s ultra-sheer dress to Carrie Underwood’s post baby bod, the 2015 CMT Awards were an occasion for celebrities to show off their designer choices and for country music lovers to cherish.
And for Brandi, it was an opportunity to come out from the shadow usually cast upon her by her younger sister, Miley Cyrus, reported E! News.
At 28, Brandi posed both alone and with Billy Ray Cyrus. She’s known both as a TV host and a model, and Brandi showed off her modeling skills by striking a pose in that almost-see-through black dress.
In addition, Miley’s big sister has musical skills and even performed on Cyrus’ old show, Hannah Montana. Brandi earned a nod for the Teens Choice Candies Style Icon award, as well.
But Brandi was also almost overshadowed at the CMT Awards, not by Miley, but by Carrie Underwood in a mini-dress.
As the Inquisitr reported, Underwood halted red carpet traffic by flaunting her post-baby body just four months after giving birth to her first son.
Carrie has credited her vegan diet and workout program for her fabulous figure, and she showed off the results in a mini-dress that got raves from other fashionistas.
But Underwood also ruled when it came to the awards part of the 2015 CMT Awards, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Together with Miranda Lambert, Carrie received an award for “Somethin’ Bad,” below.
Now ranked as the musician with the most CMT Awards (13 total), she received Female Video of the Year, Collaborative Video of the Year, and Video of the Year.
Group Video of the Year went to Lady Antebellum for “Bartender,” while Duo of the Year was earned by Florida Georgia Line for “Dirt.”
CMT Performance of the Year was earned by Bob Seger and Jason Aldean in “Turn The Page” (“CMT Crossroads: Bob Seger and Jason Aldean”). In addition, Sam Hunt couldn’t stop grinning after he learned that he had won Breakthrough Video of the Year for Sam Hunt, “Leave The Night On.”
Hunt also had gotten a nod from Entertainment Weekly as one of the publication’s “Breaking Big” in fall 2014.
