Walmart Brawl Caught In Viral Video Started Over One Brawler’s Use Of The N-Word

Two videos that captured an epic Walmart brawl between two women and a 6-year-old boy that have gone viral this week have reportedly been explained, according to the New York Daily News. Amber Stephenson, one of the alleged brawlers, called into WXPL’s Smiley Morning Show on Tuesday to explain her part in the Walmart fight video.

Stephenson — who, in the brawl video, is the woman in black that can be heard telling her 6-year-old son to “punch [the other woman] in the face!” — told the hosts of the Morning Show that the brawl started when she overheard the woman in the grey scooter call a Walmart employee the n-word.

“[The woman] was sitting there yelling at an employee at Walmart, and she was telling her that she was a n***** and that she was going to get out of the chair and whoop her a**.”

“She used the n-word?” One of the Morning Show hosts asked Stephenson. “She used the n-word,” Stephenson said, “so in my defense, I was standing up for the employee.”

What of Stephenson’s son, however, who can be seen punching, kicking, and using shampoo bottles to hit the other woman while Stephenson held her down? The 6-year-old can be heard in the Walmart brawl video antagonizing the woman in grey: “I don’t care about you, dummy! Ya, do something about it. What are you gonna do?” And later, when a bystander tries to tell him he shouldn’t be getting involved, he can be seen moving towards the video camera and saying “I’m not playing – you can’t tell me to stop.”

“My son takes martial arts classes… He’s been going to the gym for several years with his father. I mean, he’s been in the gym for a long time. He got a little crazy. I don’t have to worry about him ever being bullied.”

She went on to explain that her son is a straight-A student, on the honor roll, and is also a teacher’s pet, but that his martial arts teachers have taught him not to back down.

“My son is raised perfectly right. My son is perfectly well taken care of.”

Neither of the women in the Walmart brawl video were arrested, though Walmart has issued a statement saying this type of behavior in their stores is unacceptable, and that both women involved in the brawl have been notified that they are no longer allowed on Walmart property.
