Charlie Sheen: ‘Nothing Too Exciting’ But Was He Poisoned By Denise? [Video]

Charlie Sheen was rushed to the hospital earlier this week for what appeared to be a case of extreme food poisoning. Sheen reportedly called 911, or his assistant did, but asked for the fire department, not paramedics, since calls for the fire department aren’t recorded.

“It was clams, bad clams,” that Charlie ate, his press agent, Jeffrey Ballard told Us Weekly. “Nothing too exciting.”

However, sources told Us Weekly that the clams were a gift from ex-wife Denise Richards, who reportedly had the clams sent to his house. After becoming sick, Charlie went to the hospital “just to be on the safe side,” Ballard explained to the magazine. “They checked him out, hydrated him and sent him on his way. He was back home in bed 90 minutes later.”

Charlie even felt so good after eating the clams, he took a photo with the first responders who helped him out.

Sheen’s hospitalization occurs very quickly after the actor, who is estranged from his ex-wife, sent her a nasty text message, which was quickly deleted. Sources told the Daily Mail that Charlie’s text message read “this rules, the name Denise Richards as an anagram or jumbled means; ‘Charred Insides,’ purr-fect,” followed by an emoticon of a toilet, according to the Daily Mail.

The actress recently moved out of the couple’s Mullholland Estate, where Sheen currently lives, taking their daughters Sam, 10, and Lola, 9, with her. According to inside sources, “Denise is now looking for a house in Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, or Malibu because the girls will be going to a new school in that area in the fall.”

Charlie Sheen recently lost his headlining role on the television show Anger Management, as well as being axed from Two and A Half Men due to Sheen’s drug and alcohol addiction. After the incident, a letter was sent to Charlie’s attorney, which claimed “It is also clear he does not believe he has a problem and that he will continue to conduct himself in a destructive manner.”

Charlie admitted he made a mistake. Sheen told television show Extra, “Yeah, I should have been a little more humble, more regretful, shouldn’t have attacked them like I did and I probably should have begged for my job back,” the Anger Management star admitted. “Beg is a color I don’t wear well, I probably should have requested my job back … I think that what went down was fixable and I made it irreparable.”

Sheen blamed the issues on a testosterone cream he used, claiming it metabolized into a steroid. Charlie’s father, acclaimed actor Martin Sheen, told the media, “this is a very lonely man. In a very desperate situation.”
