Surprise ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ DLC Now Available On All Platforms

Providing a treat to Dragon Age: Inquisition fans, BioWare has released a new DLC add-on for the latest installment of their popular role-playing franchise. The developer managed to keep the existence of the new item pack a complete secret until the title’s official Twitter account announced today that the Spoils of the Avvar DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition is now available to download across all systems.

According to a brief description of the add-on that was posted on the Dragon Age website, the new DLC adds several new items to Dragon Age: Inquisition, including mounts, armor sets, schematics, and even additional decorations for the game’s player-run base of Skyhold. Everything included in the item pack is themed after the barbaric Avvar people found in Dragon Age: inquisition.

“The Spoils of the Avvar content pack adds new personalization elements to your Inquisition, including the Avvar Mount Pack, which contains five different beasts to ride across Thedas. Charge into battle atop a war-painted mount! Bring the unfettered spirit of the Avvar to Skyhold with several options to customize your base. The Spoils of the Avvar content pack also includes two sets of unique armor as loot and schematics to give your party the advantage against your foes.”

Besides the release of the new Avvar DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition, a report from the Inquisitr also revealed that more story-based content is currently in development. Dragon Age: Inquisition creative director Mike Laidlaw recently confirmed that BioWare is not yet done with the game’s narrative. In addition to continuing to launch new title updates, alongside special item pack add-ons like the Spoils of the Avvar, the developer has plans to release more story content for Dragon Age: Inquisition in the future.

While the last paid DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition was released first on Xbox One and PC as a timed exclusive, this week’s new add-on was launched simultaneously on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Also, unlike past DLC for the game, the new Dragon Age: Inquisition content also came as a complete surprise since the developer didn’t reveal the existence of the new item pack until now. It is unknown if BioWare plans to launch additional item packs for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Do you plan on picking up the new Avvar-themed gear or are you waiting for BioWare to release more story content for Dragon Age: Inquisition?
