Watch Brazil Vs. South Korea Live Online: FIFA Women’s World Cup Streaming From Montreal

The FIFA Women’s World Cup continues Tuesday, and fans can watch Brazil vs. South Korea live online when Brazilian striker Marta Vieira da Silva — better known simply as Marta — takes the field, as the woman widely considered the world’s best women’s soccer player begins her fourth attempt at winning a World Cup for Brazil.

To find out how to watch Marta and Brazil vs. South Korea live online, see the information at the bottom of this article. The Group E match kicks off at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, 4 p.m. Pacific from Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada, with live online streaming starting about 15 minutes earlier.

At the still-youthful age of 29, Marta (pictured above) has already appeared in 92 international matches scoring an incredible 91 goals. While the USA’s Abby Wambach and Canada’s Christine Sinclair have amassed more goals in international play — the only two active women to do so — neither scores at the blinding rate of nearly one goal every game that marks Marta’s astonishing international career.

And yet, even though Marta has played every minute of every Women’s World Cup game for Brazil since her debut in 2003, her nation has never won the tournament, the top prize in women’s international football.

On the South Korean side, midfielder Ji So-yun poses the main threat to Brazil. The 24-year-old who plays for the Chelsea women’s team in England’s pro league was named Football Association women’s Player of the Year for 2014.

In international play, Ji has netted 38 goals in her 74 matches, and paired with 26-year-old midfielder Jeon Ga-eul, she gives South Korea a scoring attack that could upend Brazil in their opening group stage match.

The other two teams in Group E, Spain and Costa Rica, played earlier in the day. But neither is considered a serious threat to advance past the group stage. Even though South Korea is appearing in only its second FIFA Women’s World Cup, if they beat Brazil in Tuesday’s opener, they will likely win Group E if they defeat Brazil on Tuesday.

Of course, the same could be said for Brazil if they are able to stop the Koreans.
