Pregnant Woman Found: Mystery Surrounding Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther’s Disappearance Continues

Nearly a week after Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther went missing, the pregnant woman was found. She was taken to a medical facility for an evaluation and now has been released. Few specifics about why she disappeared are known at this point, nor have officials released any details regarding the state of the woman’s pregnancy or anticipated birth.

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther went missing on the day she was slated to deliver her baby via cesarean section. The 49-year-old woman was scheduled to have a C-section on June 2. Family members indicated that due to a medical condition related to a blood vessel disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, it would have been potentially fatal for her to give birth naturally and on her own. Reports indicate that Bradshaw-Crowther disappeared as her adult daughter, Laura Lusk, went to go get gas before taking her mom to the hospital to give birth.

As People details, when Lusk came home, her mother was gone. Laura indicated that her mother’s wallet and cellphone were gone, the home’s lights were off, but the door was unlocked. In addition, Carrie’s purse and suitcase remained in the home.

Six days after she first went missing, the pregnant woman was found about 90 miles from her home at a gas station in Boone, North Carolina. NBC News shared that there had been a couple of leads during the woman’s disappearance, as her cellphone was used about 20 minutes after she disappeared just blocks from her home. In addition, there were signs that she had stayed at a hotel about 30 minutes from her home on the night she went missing.

Fox 6 says that when the pregnant woman was found, she told authorities that she was indeed Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther. A woman had used Carrie’s ATM card at a nearby CVS that afternoon and when the woman was found, she had identification that matched that of Bradford-Crowther. Surveillance images also helped police pin down her whereabouts.

Reports indicate that the woman has been released from the medical facility where she had been taken and, according to the Daily Mail, she was cooperative with authorities and was in good condition. While there have been photos shared by media showing her with the authorities after she was found, there has been no details shared regarding the baby.
