Is A New Atlanta Housewife Coming Soon? ‘RHOA’ Season 8 Casting News

A new Atlanta housewife could be joining the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the upcoming eighth season of the hit series. Although an announcement regarding the cast won’t be made for another few months, a new report claims filming on the new installment recently began in Georgia.

On June 8, Funky Dineva reported the following.

“Today, a new potential Real Housewife of Atlanta will be filming. She’ll being doing a screen test for the lack of a better term. The only descriptor that I have to her identity is that she is a professional dancer.”

A new Atlanta housewife would certainly change things up a bit on the show, and that’s always necessary going into a new season. However, when it comes to who the new Atlanta housewife could be, Funky Dineva was unsure — at least at the time of the post — but with The Real Housewives of Atlanta currently in production around town, her identity is sure to be revealed in the coming weeks.

As for the rest of the cast, NeNe Leakes, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Claudia Jordan, and Kandi Burruss are expected to return to the show when the series premieres. Their roles, however, are unclear.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Porsha Williams is convinced she’ll be reclaiming her role as a full-time Atlanta housewife during the upcoming eighth season of the show. During an interview with Radar Online in February of this year, Williams said she felt she proved herself enough throughout Season 7 to garner her a full-time Atlanta housewife role.

“It would surprise me if it wasn’t offered just because of the response that I get through all of my social media. I see a lot of people who are very vocal about [the fact that] they want to see more of myself, more of my story, where’s my life now, what I am doing with my businesses. They’re very interested and I think that’s a great thing. My supporters are amazing and they have really been warriors for getting me back on the show and wanting me to get a peach again… I think I’m ready for that type of spotlight again. So I would be looking forward to it. I would if that were the case.”

At this point, there is just one new Atlanta housewife rumored to be joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 8.
