Katy Perry Keeping House in Divorce Settlement

Katy Perry, singer and ex-wife of comedian Russell Brand is being given their $6.5 million Hollywood Hills home which the couple shared during their marriage, according to TMZ.

The luxurious 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom west coast home of Katy Perry and Russell Brand was purchased last June, and now Katy Perry is its full owner, and in exchange Russell Brand has his freedom. This isn’t the only home the duo purchased. In 2010 they purchased a penthouse in New York for $2.6 million, but what they are doing with that property is unknown for now.

This isn’t the first time Katy Perry and Russell Brand have made executive decisions for their homes. In 2011 they sold another LA property for the tune of $3.3 million.

When the couple wed, they both decided not to sign a prenuptial agreement. To further complicate things, Russell Brand initially refused to pocket $20 million dollars he would obtain by the state of California for the marriage, which was half of what Katy Perry earned during the duration of their 20-month marriage.

The court documents between Perry and Brand, which were filed on February 27th state that the exes have “entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.”

Since the split Katy Perry has been linked to famous football star Tim Tebow, and has managed to crash a bachelorette party giving her own words of advice against marrying to the bride-to-be. Brand is rumored to be dating artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro.
