Carrie Underwood: Baby Weight Loss Plan Features Vegan Diet And Cardio For CMT Awards Comeback [Photos]

Carrie Underwood rocked her baby weight loss, taking off those pesky post-pregnancy pounds in a mere four months. And now Carrie’s trainer is ready to reveal just how she succeeded in achieving her weight loss goals, reported People.

Although Erin Oprea specializes in exercise, the trainer says it all begins in the kitchen. Even for new moms who have minimal time to exercise, baby weight loss comes off slowly but steadily as long as they eat right, advises Erin.

“Cutting out the junk food, focusing on nutrition first will really get your body ready for you and your baby. Once back in the gym, start slowly,” added Underwood’s trainer.

When it comes to fitness, make it fun, said Erin.

“Warm up,” reminded Oprea. “Go for a run with lots of hills, stop at a park to do some pull ups, push ups, step ups and other fun body weight stuff.”

To get maximum results in minimal time, be sure to vary the workouts, advised Carrie’s trainer.

“Keep shocking the body,” she added.

For Underwood, who’s rehearsing for the CMT Awards, the pressure of how she looks in the public spotlight can feel intense. But her quick weight loss has helped restore her confidence, as she revealed on Instagram.

Carrie’s first performance since the baby’s birth is scheduled for the CMT Awards on June 10.

As for Carrie’s specific diet, she’s a devoted vegan, as the Inquisitr reported.

“I love eating and talking about food. I’ve been a vegetarian for seven years. But after seeing a friend who looked amazing and had recently gone vegan, I thought, ‘What’s holding me back?'”

In addition to following her plant-based diet and cutting out the junk food, Underwood has revealed how she shapes her body even more for red carpet events.

“I do more cardio and fewer weights than usual. Although strength training is important, I don’t want to look too muscular on the red carpet.”

Thrilled to be a mom, Underwood also shared that her husband Mike Fisher is delighted to be a dad, reported E News.

When she’s rehearsing, baby Isaiah relaxes behind the scenes with Mike.

“Isaiah’s first band rehearsal,” posted Carrie to Instagram about the baby. “As you can see, he & his daddy were totally into it! #Naptime #earmuffs #Sweetdreams.”

As for Underwood’s relaxation time, between the baby and the weight loss plan, it’s not easy. But her trainer emphasizes that it’s essential.

“Life with a little one will sometimes be chaotic, but every mom tries to make a schedule for feeding and naps,” commented Oprea. “This is where the plan is crucial. When it’s nap time, it’s mom time.”
