Shayna Hubers Danced: 24-Year-Old Danced And Sang Before Murder Conviction

Shayna Hubers danced and sang after admitting that she shot her boyfriend dead.

According to ABC News, Hubers, 24, was convicted of killing Ryan Carter Poston, 29, after he tried to break up with her. Since news of her case broke, she has done some pretty interesting things ahead of her trial.

The report indicates that Hubers was dancing while singing “I killed him. I killed him,” while she was in a police interview room before her hearing. To many, this was absolutely shocking, and seemed to suggest that Hubers was proud of her actions.

“This was one of the strangest things, when she was doing that dancing, snapping her fingers and twirling around, almost as if she was proud of it,” said police Chief Bill Birkenhauer.

Shayna Hubers danced, but she also said some other curious things throughout this process.

She made strange comments about her ex, and how she basically did him a favor.

“He’s very vain. One of our last conversations we had that was good was that he wants to get a nose job, and I shot him right here. I gave him his nose job he wanted. I broke it,” Hubers said to police.

She also asked questions about going to jail.

“If you go to jail are you allowed to keep your phone? … Can you shower there? Or do you just get really dirty? … I have to shower in front of people? Oh s***,” she said.

According to Mail Online, police in Kentucky released photos of the scene that Huber left behind. These pictures were shown on a 20/20 special that aired on Friday night (June 5). The murder happened on October 12, 2012. Hubers actually called 911 after shooting Poston — and told the dispatcher that she, in fact, killed him. The 911 recording was played during the 20/20 special.

Although Hubers admitted to murdering Poston, her defense attorney claimed that she killed him in self-defense. Her actions, however, seemed to prove that there was something else going on, and that could be why a jury voted the way that they did. Had Hubers been remorseful, and apologetic, for example, there may have been a different outcome in her case.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Shayna will be spending a minimum of 20 years behind bars for killing her boyfriend. She is currently awaiting her sentencing.

Do you think Hubers should be sentenced to life in prison? Do you think that there is more to her story?
