On that night, 25-year-old Swift delighted her fans by going back to her country music roots when she was joined onstage by country music band Little Big Town. Taylor joined the band to sing their hit song “Pontoon.” Trib live says that Swift made the show a very personal affair by explaining what had inspired the songs and by asking the mainly female audience to sing and dance right along with her.
Taylor quickly won over any doubters by reminding them of her roots as she told them “I was born in Pennsylvania in 1989. I remember 10 years ago singing the national anthem in this stadium for a Steelers game.” As always, Taylor’s show was as much about theater as it was about music. Taylor had even provided the audience with wrist bands that pulsed and changed color in time with the music.
After the show, Taylor was clearly thrilled to have been able to have sang with her surprise guest. Taylor took to twitter to tell her 58 million followers about how much fun she had.
Taylor also posted a picture of the audience saying how beautiful they looked.
On that night, Taylor was not the only person who showed that she could spring a surprise or two. CBS report that Taylor Swift fan Brad Haas sprung a big surprise on his girlfriend in the parking lot at Heinz Field. Girlfriend Steph Benson thought that she was just attending a Taylor Swift concert, but Mr. Haas had a arranged a 40-strong flash mob of dancers to help him to propose her. As the crowd sang and danced along to a selection of songs including Taylor’s “Sparks Fly“ Brad grabbed hold of Steph and asked her to marry him.
If you want to know Steph’s answer you will have to watch the video.
