‘Elder Scrolls Online’ And ‘LEGO: Jurassic World’ Lead The New Video Games For Week Of June 7, 2015

The Elder Scrolls Online and LEGO Jurassic World lead the new video games for the week of June 7, 2015. Apart from a trip to Tamriel and a dinosaur-infested island, there really is not a lot of meat on this week’s new release list. A sparse release list is a familiar trend before E3, as the new video game releases trickle down to a select few titles. Next week will see nothing on the console release schedule, as all eyes will be on Los Angeles, and the end of June has the Dark Knight descending upon the video game world with Batman: Arkham Knight.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is the latest MMO to join the console space behind Final Fantasy XIV, which has seen a strong fan base emerge. Tamriel Unlimited was originally titled simply The Elder Scrolls Online when it launched on Windows and OS X on April 4, 2014. On March 17, the game went free-to-play and the name was changed to help rebrand the image of the MMO. The game spent seven years in development and, despite the long incubation period at Zenimax Online, the game has met with mixed reviews focusing around the lack of originality to the MMO space. Players have access to 4 classes out of the gate: Dragonknight, Templar, Sorcerer, and Nightblade. Set during the second era, nearly 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the game and follows a structure similar to Skyrim. The Inquisitr has everything you need to know about Tamriel Unlimited here for your convenience.

LEGO Jurassic World is the other major release this week from the Traveler’s Tales studio. Gamers will be given not only the opportunity to play through the events of the new movie with Chris Pratt, but it also includes the campaigns Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Jurassic Park III. Containing the trademark humor of the LEGO games that make the series so endearing to gamers of all ages, gamers will be able to play as LEGO dinosaurs, including the Raptors and T. Rex. You can make your own dinosaur and Jurassic park to play with in Free Play missions, as well.
