‘Gilmore Girls’ Reunion: The Boys Dish On Who They Would Have Picked For Rory
Gilmore Girls forever! Fans everywhere have kept their eyes on the internet since news first broke of the cast reuniting for the ATX TV Festival, which took place Saturday, June 6. So many wonderful things came out of the Stars Hollow family reunion, including some major discussion over who should have ended up with little miss Rory Gilmore, a fan favorite.
For those who loved the show just as much as this writer, you already know that Rory Gilmore, played by actress Alexis Bledel, had only three boyfriends throughout the shows seven season run: Dean, Jess, and Logan. Both Dean and Jess where considered her high school romances, and Logan was Rory’s one and only serious college boyfriend, and while she seemed equally in love with each and every one of them, the series ended with Rory choosing single life, even after she received a marriage proposal from the hunky (and might we add rich) Logan Huntzberger.
While Gilmore Girls may have officially ended on May 15, 2007, the fandom never died off and one of the most talked about questions has always been who was the better man for Rory? Well, the three leading men in Rory’s life spoke up at this year’s reunion according to Entertainment Tonight, and based solely on the opinions of Matt Czuchry (Logan), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess) and Jared Padalecki (Dean) it seems like Jess was the overall pick as the best man for Rory!
According to US Weekly, all three of Rory’s ex’s were asked who they would have picked to end up with Rory, and each gave their honest opinion.
“‘I’m team Jess. I admit it. I even told Milo. I’m totally team Jess,’ said Jared Padalecki.
“‘I’ve been vocal about being team Dean, so maybe she should have gone way back around to the very beginning. That would have been nice,” said Milo Ventimiglia before going on to say that “Logan was a d*ck.’
“‘They each brought something out in Rory that she needed at the time,’ said Matt Czuchry before finally admitting that he was on team Jess.”
While the unofficial vote seems to have put team Jess on top, Scott Patterson, who played Rory’s unofficial father figure, Luke Danes, was very honest when he joked around with the three saying that “none of you were good enough for Rory.”
The Gilmore Girls reunion brought everyone back to a simpler time, but even while the reunion may have given fans an unofficial vote as to who was the best boyfriend to our beloved Rory Gilmore; fans still have their own opinions!
