Sarah Palin: I’d Punch Em In The Neck

Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin guest hosted the “Today” show this morning and got into some lively discussions. Discussion topics included Oprah, motherhood and Jessica Simpson’s pregnancy weight gain.

Matt Lauer asked her,

“Governor, I don’t know how much weight you gained during your pregnancies. But how would you have felt had someone criticized you for gaining too much weight?”

While Sarah Palin is known for a very in your face style her answer caused everyone to stare. She said,

“I would have wanted to punch ’em in the neck. Because it’s none of anybody’s business how much I would gain. You know why this is even an issue, Matt, is because that Hollywood image is full of itty bitty people, unrealistically tiny.”

Sarah Palin stayed away from politics in this appearance. She spend some time commenting on Ashton Kutcher being cast as Steve Jobs in an upcoming movie about the Apple Founder’s life. She also heaped praise on actress Tori Spelling for being an inspiration to working mothers. She was insipred by the fact that Tori manages to run her event planning business and still have time to take care of her children. She still hasn’t seen “Game Change,” but she admitted that “Tina Fey has been pretty clever” with her SNL impression.

Tuesday news broke that Levi Johnston, the father of Palin’s grandson, is expecting another child with his new girlfriend. Luckily the news broke after Sarah Palin had already hosted the show so she didn’t have to comment on it.
