Ellie Goulding says deleting the infamous photo of herself with Katy Perry had nothing to do with Taylor Swift's dislike of Perry. Ellie said she removed the snap because she didn't like how she looked.
"I deleted that because I looked bad in it," she said. "I think I was a bit drunk and I thought it wasn't a very good example of myself."
Katie Baillie, writing in Metro News, thought Goulding looking anything but great was unlikely. "Like that could ever happen," she wrote.
Ellie's story might be the simple truth. Hard to believe, maybe, with all the bad blood between Taylor and Katy, and with Ellie pledging her allegiance to the Swifties team in Swift's "Bad Blood" video. Goulding called herself Destructa X, and with a massive gun across her shoulders, she looked the part in the virulent video that was reputed to be all about Katy Perry.

So why exactly did #EllieGoulding delete her pic with #KatyPerry?! http://t.co/xAiwyOg1Cb pic.twitter.com/TDBCSIb2kqSo Ellie might have taken down the photo out of loyalty to Taylor Swift, but her own version of the disappearing pic might also be true. Goulding probably agrees with Taylor's take on maintaining a good public image. Swift told EOnline that she wouldn't be "carelessly rude."

"I have my friends. I have enemies. I have bad days…I'm not nice all the time but I try not to be carelessly rude to people who don't deserve it."
After all, Ellie has more reason to be careful of her public look now. Goulding is collaborating with MAC Cosmetics for her new MAC Ellie Goulding collection, and she took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peak of the collection and her own excitement.
"Oi oi SO excited to finally share what I've been working on with @MACcosmetics!!! #MACEllieGoulding drops in Dec/Jan!'.Hollywood Life described some of the featured beauty products in the new collection, "Pretty pink lipstick, a glittery gloss, and a rose crayon...a sexy, neutral eye quad, false lashes and a bronzer/blush duo."
Previous names in the starry line up of MAC brand ambassadors include Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus. With the natural, "no makeup" look of the collection that Bustle says gives anyone a chance to copy Ellie Goulding's "delicate beauty looks," maybe Ellie herself can make sure she's looking good for any future photos with Katy Perry!
