Free Cone Day: Ben & Jerry’s Giving Away Free Ice Cream Today

The warm weather has officially arrived and Ben & Jerry’s is celebrating with its annual free cone today.

Ben & Jerry’s will be handing out free ice cream cones between noon and 8 p.m. today, April 3rd, 2012.

CEO Jostein Solheim said:

If you’re heading to a Ben & Jerry’s today you’ll be able to try ice cream classics like Cherry Garcia, Chubby Hubby, and Chunky Monkey, but Ben & Jerry’s has also recently introduced a new line of Greek Frozen Yogurts. The company will be giving away free scoops of new Greek Frozen Yogurt flavors like Raspberry Fudge Chunk, Banana Peanut Butter, and Blueberry Vanilla Graham.

Free Cone Day started in 1979, a year after the company was founded by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. Ben and Jerry wanted to thank their customers for all their support. The company has been holding its free cone day, now at over 800 stores in North America, Europe and Asia, every year since.
