Eric Decker and Jessie James Engagement: Broncos’ WR Confirms Engagement to Country Music Star

Denver Brocos wide receiver Eric Decker is having quite the year.

On the gridiron, Decker, who led Denver in catches (44), yards (612) and touchdowns (8) in 2011, can look forward to Peyton Manning as his quarterback next season.

Off the field, the 25-year-old can start looking forward to marriage, as country music star Jessie James confirmed on Twitter this Sunday that the two are engaged.

“Thank you all so much for the congrats on our engagement,” Jessie tweeted on April 1st. “We are blessed to have found each other and to have supporters like you all :)”

The Italian-born James, 23, released her second country album in late-January. Her self-titled, debut album was released in 2009 and reached as high as No. 23 on the U.S. charts.

In case anyone was wondering whether the pair’s engagement was an April Fool’s gag, James tweeted the following picture that showed off her engagement ring.

Decker and James reportedly met through a mutual friend and began their relationship on the phone.
