Pippa Middleton Engaged? Reports Claim Boyfriend, Nico Jackson, Planning To Propose, Duchess Kate Helped Pick The Ring

Pippa Middleton may soon be walking the aisle, with rumors that Duchess Kate’s famous sister is engaged to longtime boyfriend, Nico Jackson — or at least is on the way to being engaged.

A new report claims that Nico is ready to pop the question, and that Kate Middleton is playing a big role in the proposal.

“Kate is so happy for Pippa and she loves Nico. They all get along so well!” a source told Life & Style magazine.

The source went on to claim that Nico asked for Kate Middleton’s help in picking out a ring that her younger sister would love.

“It will definitely be a stunner!” the source added.

It represents a bit of a turnaround from the last few months, when Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson faced breakup rumors. Celeb Dirty Laundry noted last year that Jackson was headed to Switzerland to work for a hedge fund, which some insiders believed signaled the end of their relationship.

This could end up being quite a big month for Pippa Middleton. Aside from the engagement rumors, there are reports that her big sister Kate will pick Pippa to serve as godmother for Princess Charlotte at her christening next month.

Duchess Kate and Prince William have yet to announce the godparents, but many insiders believe it will be Pippa’s turn after being passed over for Prince George.

The Standard reported on the matter.

“Top of the runners and riders this time is, of course, Kate’s sister Pippa. There was huge surprise when she wasn’t among the seven people named as George’s godparents but apparently Kate and William felt that she was already struggling to cope with the media spotlight focused on her since their wedding.”

The report said that Pippa and Prince William — both of whom were considered liabilities for their attention-drawing ways — have settled down quite a bit and make good choices for godparents.

“Two years on, and Pippa has emerged older and wiser. Her cookbook may have flopped but she is carving out a career in food writing on a less flamboyant scale. She recently turned 31 and has a long-term, loving boyfriend in City banker Nico Jackson — rumour is that they are on the brink of an engagement announcement. Similarly, William in particular felt that asking his brother Harry to be George’s godfather would leave him open to sanctimonious scandal pieces about his party lifestyle.”

If Pippa Middleton will be getting engaged before the christening, Nico Jackson will need to set his plans into motion quickly. The christening ceremony is set for July 5.
