WWE News: WWE Champion Seth Rollins Talks Almost Getting Fired From WWE

Anything can happen in the WWE. For example, a mid-card worker can become the WWE’s hottest commodity. That was CM Punk in 2011. A bodybuilder turns into the WWE’s most polarizing figure. That man turned out to be John Cena. A dancing Irish woman whose act was as silly as her clothes became Becky Lynch.

There’s never a predetermined answer for any WWE superstar that steps through the ropes. One perfect example is the WWE champion, Seth Rollins. The Architect of the Shield was interviewed recently and displayed some shocking news. Seth Rollins was almost fired from the WWE.

“WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins spoke at Wizard World in St. Louis last week and credited Joey Mercury for saving his career. While in WWE developmental, Rollins had heat as he believed he was the best and wad frustrated with being there for so long. Rollins said he was almost fired but Mercury helped lay everything out for him and put him on the right path, saving his job.”

It’s easy to become cocky when a WWE superstar as successful as Seth Rollins became one of the greatest wrestlers in the world. At Florida Championship Wrestling, Rollins came in already knowing the basics. He feuded with Dean Ambrose in the Indies. Both men already honed their craft before entering the WWE.

When Rollins decided to take the advice of Joey Mercury, it was all uphill from there for the WWE champion. There are big things for Rollins on the horizon, and it’s only going to get better this summer. In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Rollins is getting set up for a feud with Triple H. There’s a chance that might not happen, due to the return of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman.

Before Lesnar left, Rollins and the Beast Incarnate had a great feud going, even though Reigns is the one who faced Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. It was evident that Rollins would get involved somehow. As history tells us, Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become the WWE World Heavyweight champion.

After all of the events transpired over the last few months, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins will clash at WWE Battleground for SummerSlam. Bleacher Report is calling it the “hottest feud of the summer.” Rollins is still improving on the microphone to where he cuts great promos every night. There are no words to describe Heyman’s gift of gab. Not including the words outside the ring, Lesnar and Rollins will fight until there’s only one man standing, and the WWE Universe will soak up every second of it.
