Jenelle Evans Court Update: Charges Against ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Dismissed

Jenelle Evans has evaded charges stemming from an alleged assault at the end of last month. On June 4, an attorney representing Jenelle Evans confirmed to WBTW News 13 that a criminal domestic violence charge against her had been dismissed.

Although Jenelle Evans was reportedly expected to appear in a court room earlier today in South Carolina, a WBTW News 13 crew claimed she was not seen.

Attorney Amy Lawrence told WBTW News 13 that Jenelle Evans is “ready to move forward,” and is excited to graduate from Miller-Motte Technical College later this month.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jenelle Evans was accused of assault after she allegedly arrived to her ex-fiance Nathan Griffith’s apartment, and began choking and slapping him. According to the police report, which surfaced online days after the reported altercation, Griffith’s injuries confirmed the assault.

“Consistent with the victim’s story of the choking and pulling of the shirt, the victim left side of his face also had a slightly red bruising consistent with being slapped or punched. Photographs were taken and will be dropped into the recording drive for further court purposes.”

A short time after the report was made public, Jenelle Evans’ rep took to Twitter, claiming it was not Griffith who was the victim, but rather Evans, who had been assaulted. In a since-deleted tweet, the rep claimed Griffith ran Jenelle Evans over with his truck.

“Neighbors called the police after witnessing Nathan run Jenelle over. Her attorney is involved & this will be handled in compliance with LE.”

Jenelle Evans claimed she was at Griffith’s house to pick up their son, when things between her and Griffith became heated. However, seemingly contradicting the statement was the fact that the incident reportedly took place in the wee hours of the morning on a Tuesday. Why would the reality star be picking her son up from Griffith in the middle of the night? The comment seemed strange, but lucky for Evans, none of that matters at this point.

Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith began dating in June, 2013, just weeks after Evans’ split from husband Courtland Rogers. Weeks later, the couple moved in together and began planning to start a family, which they did exactly one year after the met. Following their son’s June, 2014, arrival, Evans and Griffith traveled to St. Thomas, where they enjoyed a relaxing vacation and became engaged.

In March, 2015, Jenelle Evans and Griffith split.
