Elizabeth Hurley’s Pole Dancing Photo: Did Actress Have Side Gig? [Video]
Elizabeth Hurley has the internet buzzing after she posted a racy photo on her Instagram account in which she’s dangling upside down from a Vegas-style stripper pole, causing some fans to wonder if the actress had a sexy side gig in her earlier years. The photo was captioned, “Misspent youth?”

The 49-year-old star of The Royals tagged friend and iconic photographer Ellen Von Unwerth in the sexy photo, in which Hurley wears only a string bikini and sparkly high-heeled boots, indicating it wasn’t an admission of a misspent youth, but instead a relic from an old photo shoot, reports the Huffington Post.
Elizabeth was recently spotted at UJA-Federation New York’s Entertainment Division Signature Gala in New York City wearing a more elegant green dress by Dsquared2 with a white and pale green appliqué around the bustline, according to the Daily Mail, but the actress showed she hasn’t quite given up her pole dancing ways, making sure to rock equally sparkly high heels.
The event Hurley, now light years away from that pole dancing photo but still ever youthful, attended raises awareness and “engages philanthropists to create positive, meaningful, and lasting changes in the lives of those most in need,” the organization’s website states.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Hurley recently brought her 12-year-old son with her to the Royals premiere in London. Her son, Damian, wishes to act, and Hurley, of course, wants to support her son. But not from a stripper pole.
For her role in The Royals, Elizabeth Hurley recently revealed she took inspiration from Princess Diana, trying to model her character after how the late royal dressed. Hurley admitted her character is nothing like Diana in terms of personality, but she tried to draw inspiration from how the princess looked in daily life and in photos.
She also said she was inspired by Joan Collins, telling the Daily Mail, “[M]aybe Joan Collins was my inspiration…I was inspired a little by her part in Dynasty, so I pulled a little bit from her but also I tried to think ‘what would Princess Diana maybe have looked like had she become our Queen and was Queen today?'”
In the show, Joan Collins plays her mother, the Grand Duchess of Oxford.
Whoever the actress draws inspiration from, the pole photo that has the internet buzzing shows a part of Hurley’s personality that knows how to have a good time, however misspent that youth might have been.
