Rob Kardashian Spotted After Caitlyn Jenner Debut Shock: Rob’s 100-Pound Weight Gain, Depression, Addiction [Video]

Rob Kardashian was spotted on a public outing for the first time since Caitlyn Jenner unveiled her authentic self in Vanity Fair. Kardashian, who gained 100 pounds in one year, has been secluded for months, reported the Daily Mail.

At 28, Rob has stopped joining Kris, Kylie, and Kendall Jenner as well as Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian on episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. And not only has Rob stayed away from the family’s main TV show, but he was out of the loop with regard to stepfather Bruce Jenner’s transition, according to Kim.

When Rob got a message showing Caitlyn Jenner on Vanity Fair, he was shocked, said Kim.

“Kim, why are you sending me this? Who is this woman and why do I care?” demanded an unaware Rob.

“And I was like, Rob, that’s Bruce — that’s Caitlyn. And he was like, ‘Oh my god, she’s beautiful,'” said Kim.

After Rob understood the implications of the magazine cover, he reached out to Caitlyn via the phone, according to Kim.

But for the only Kardashian son, life has become a struggle. Although Kris Jenner denied reports that he had checked into rehab for drug addiction, the 59-year-old matriarch of the Jenner-Kardashian family did express her fears for her son on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“If I don’t help him do something drastic, he’s going to die. He was someone who was very athletic and he’s gained over 100 pounds in the last year. I’m just waiting for this horrible thing to happen and there’s nothing we can do about it.”

Uncomfortable with the way that he looks since his 100-pound weight gain, Rob has been rarely spotted in public recently. He avoided the family Christmas in 2014 and also did not attend Kim’s famous wedding to Kanye West that same year.

As the Inquisitr reported, Rob was rumored to have gone to rehab for treatment for alcohol, marijuana, cough syrup with codeine (Sizzurp), and weight gain.

However, Kris Jenner termed those reports about rehab as “completely fabricated.”

What is known, however, is that Kardashian is struggling with depression, reported People.

And although his family has attempted to hold interventions, Rob remains in seclusion and unhappy.

“He’s sad, he’s bitter, he’s single. He is very depressed and has been [for a while],” revealed an insider. “It’s really hard for him that his sisters are so public and he looks like the shut-in.”
