Creflo Dollar: Church Will Get $65 Million Gulfstream G650 Plane, Ignores $80 Million Per Year Church Earnings, Salary Questions

Well, the aptly named Pastor Creflo Dollar is at it again. The most recent time he was in the news was in reference to Dollar’s $80 million per year church, as reported by the Inquisitr. News reports highlighted the fact that Creflo won’t reveal how much of the tithes and offerings from his World Changers Church International go towards charities — and exactly how much goes toward jets, cars, a Buckhead condo and homes in New York and Georgia. Nor will Pastor Dollar reveal his earnings, with a sultry mix of book and music publishing income and for-profit companies tied closely in with his not-for-profit church.

Dollar has once again placed himself in the news by issuing a statement about his latest viral plane request faux pas, with the video request for the $65 million plane gaining guffaws online. As reported by KRMG, Creflo issued a statement titled “Airplane Project” on the CrefloDollarMinistries.org website that admits the original video campaign was flawed, but defends the ministry’s need for a pricey plane nonetheless.

And while the 988-word long “Statement from the Board of Directors of WCCI/CDM” highlights the fact that the World Changers Church International is a nearly 30-year-old 501c3 non-profit organization — nowhere in the statement does it name those who sit on the board. Nor does the statement provide the types of financial details that would make a congregation feel good about where their monies are going. Instead, platitudes and generalities and rationalizations are given.

There are some 3 million donors in the ministry’s global databases, with tens of millions of others who are connected to the ministry through books, magazines, social media, missions outreach and a daily television broadcast that is translated into many languages and aired worldwide.

Next, the statement moves on to say that Pastor Creflo didn’t pressure anyone to buy the $65 million Gulfstream G650, and claims the video campaign will be released once more.

There was no pressure of any kind applied to anyone, but rather an opportunity was presented to those in our community who may be inclined to participate and who stand to benefit from the global mobility of our ministry leaders. We fully acknowledge that the campaign video did not do a good job of communicating the request, and we apologize for any confusion it may have caused – it is in the process of being revamped and will be re-released when complete.

Lastly, Dollar states that they plan to get a $65 million Gulfstream G650 anyway — but he doesn’t mention if it will be purchased off the wages of his financially uninformed congregation, or if any audited financial reports for the church will be released online for public scrutiny prior to the purchase.

We plan to acquire a Gulfstream G650 because it is the best, and it is a reflection of the level of excellence at which this organization chooses to operate.
