Fans can watch the 2015 NBA Finals live online and see as the Cleveland Cavaliers face off against the Golden State Warriors in a battle of fresh faces and old stars.
The matchup is one of the most interesting ones in years, pitting the upstart Cavaliers, led by veteran and four-time NBA MVP LeBron James, against the upstart Warriors, led by the young Stephen Curry, this year’s MVP.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off Thursday at 9 p.m. EST from Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
The 2015 NBA Finals pits against each other two teams that haven’t seen basketball’s biggest stage in quite some time. The Cavaliers haven’t been to the finals since 2007, when James almost single-handedly brought an otherwise mediocre team all the way to the end, only to be swept by the San Antonio Spurs.
The Warriors haven’t been to the Finals since the 1974-75 season, when they won it all.
Oddsmakers are picking the Warriors to win their first title in 40 years, and basketball writers overwhelmingly believe the combination of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will be too much for the banged up Cavaliers, who are without Kevin Love and have a hobbled Kyrie Irving.
Ken Berger of CBS Sports noted that the Warriors will also be able to focus on LeBron without worrying as much about his supporting cast.
He predicted the Warriors would win in seven games.
“The Warriors have plenty of length/athleticism (not to mention 24 fouls) to use against LeBron James. … As all-powerful as LeBron is, a deciding game at Oracle would be the perfect culmination to what has felt like the Warriors’ year from wire-to-wire.”
But those show watch the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors game live online will see a Cavs team with plenty of experience — at least with one player. This will be the fifth straight NBA Finals for LeBron James, who sports a 2-3 record overall.
James is even earning praise from one of the Warriors’ most famous players, Rick Barry.
I think LeBron is the greatest three to ever play the game. And as great as he is, he still has room for improvement. If that was ever to happen and he really refined his game more, they may have to outlaw him, he’s so good. He’s an anomaly, I mean he really is. There’s never been anybody like him with his size, his athleticism, his feel for the game.
