The Story Of Caitlyn Jenner’s First Meeting With Kim Kardashian Revealed
Although most of the world was introduced to Caitlyn Jenner via the cover of Vanity Fair‘s forthcoming issue, Jenner’s stepdaughter Kim Kardashian got an early chance to make her acquaintance. E! News recently spoke to Kim and she revealed that she was present at Jenner’s photo shoot and was enthusiastic about their first encounter.
“She looked so beautiful,” Kim said of Caitlyn Jenner. “I’m so proud of her and she’s so inspiring.”
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Kardashian confirmed that the photo shoot was her first meeting with Jenner’s new public self.
“I actually went to the shoot, and that was my first time meeting Caitlyn,” Kardashian said in the ET interview, which was quoted by The Hamilton Spectator. “I’m so proud that she can just be her authentic self. I guess that’s what life is about.”
Kardashian also tweeted her support for Caitlyn Jenner and sent some props to photographer Annie Leibovitz shortly after the Vanity Fair cover was revealed online.

Despite Kim’s presence behind the scenes, her younger sister Kourtney Kardashian wasn’t there to share in the moment. As previously reported by Inquisitr, Kourtney and her longtime beau Scott Disick received their first glimpse of Caitlyn when the Vanity Fair cover was unveiled. Rumors abound that Kourtney and Scott have been keeping their kids at a distance from Jenner as the parents decide how to explain the situation properly. Nevertheless, Kourtney tweeted support for Jenner after the cover hit the ‘net.

She also posted a pic of Caitlyn with some good-natured ribbing via Instagram later that day.

Kourtney Kardashian and Jenner’s own daughter Kendall also tweeted their support for Caitlyn.
Caitlyn Jenner has received accolades and broad-based support for her public transformation, but a number of detractors have taken jabs at the former Olympian, including Fox News and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. But while the mean-spirited barbs and political pandering of talking heads might sting momentarily, the love, support, and encouragement of family and close friends tends to trump even the most venomous vitriol. At the moment, perhaps nobody can attest to that more than Caitlyn Jenner herself.
